Because the comment section is getting too crowded.

Ladies, what is your approach to looking and feeling better?

I feel like I need a major glow-up!

With summer coming up, working from home due to Covid, moving continents and all that, I really feel like I need a new me.

Let’s share any tips and tricks for style and just general look good/feel good vibes 💗

Besides my hair which we have discussed in the comments lol..

I have been getting my nails done consistently for a while now. Not fake nails, I just get my natural nails done. Mani and pedis about once a month.

I keep up with my skin as well. I used to go out in the sun a lot but I've cut back on that since I've been older. Don't want to completely fuck up my skin. Luckily I'm olive skin toned so I rarely burn.

Working out obviously will help with body image and how you feel about yourself.

I think it’s all about good fitting clothes for your body type. Good material and good tailor.

Basic skin care = less is more

Bronzer + mascara + lip gloss

Nice shoes (appropriate for the occasion) + purse + wallet

Shiny hair and smile

I'm not a lady but I like to chime in and tell everybody what's my approach to looking and feeling good. I like to keep myself clean shaven, then rinse my face off with facial cleanser I hardly seldom use those after shave stuff cus they put age on your face.

Ok let's see.....what else I do? Hmmm🤔

Hair: I do my own. I feel no need to waste money on a beautician shop.

Nails: don't care about that

Skin: sunscreen in the summer and lotion in the winter. I got dark olive skin that looks pretty oily naturally anyway so no need to overdo it with skin cream and stuff unless I'm getting a new fresh tattoo.

Get comfortable with who you are. Seriously.

I been annoyed with myself lately due to a lil weight gain from sedentary job and some life stuff that's preventing me from really getting out and being active like I prefer. Plus my hairs been meh and my skin is looking like I'm getting older, cuz, you know, I am lol.

But yesterday I was like fuck it, threw on some clothes I liked and listened to music that got me in the happy zone. Went shopping (food, not retail therapy lol) and some rando kid told me I was pretty.

Glow inside and it shines through.

Also, use raw honey like once a week as a facial. Tend your skin so it's not dry. Eat good healthy foods. Drink water. But also eat the damn cake every so often too.

Working out consistently especially those heart pumping exercises.

Get my hair cut/colored every month or two

Have fun! Hanging out with people who make me laugh. Go exploring etc

I started a bowling league with my boyfriend, his son & my daughter yesterday. Omg these people are so friendly, fun, supportive! Fun environment.. I thought these people were. I was laughing so hard!!

I think fire signs really glow when they are having fun. Well for me anyway. I’d think working at home must be tough all the time without enough social interaction.

Do you guys know your kibbe ID? It’s yin yang theory from the 80s
I’m no expert coz it’s for women but I think most women are Soft Naturals and most DXPers might be that body type

I don’t know. I think I may have heard about it?

It sounds cool!

I know you’re tall so that factors in

I just don’t know your curves and body outline

If you’re hour glass that would factor in too

These days the only time I get glow-ups is during formal occasions: letting my hip length wavy hair down, full makeup, dressing fancy vs regularly sporting sweats with food and other unknown stains from my 1 year old. Thankfully some big events coming up!

I’m always trying to find products that make hair and skincare maintenance more efficient. I miss having time to do elaborate stuff. It also sucks how my skin is getting more sensitive with age. Tretinoin is like the holy grail of staying youthful but it does require some due diligence because I accidentally made my skin absorb too much and triggered an irritation that kept me from being able to put on any makeup or products for months. Also not safe when you’re pregnant or planning. So now I’m looking into things like hyaluronic acid, vitamin c serums and glycolic acid peels. I’m all for less is more but damn when you see some results it’s hard to stop.

I also hate how I feel the difference when I skip my vitamins and supplements. It’s sad because I’m not even 30 yet so they’ll be having my money for decades…
