I think we like for our partners, or even people that are interested in us to always have our backs.
Not that a person has to come to our defense, but if you do happen to jump in the middle of something and side with someone else, that can be a blow to the ego.

Posted by c0mradepeople should be able to agree that differences in opinion are just that - don't push it /gloat like 'we're right and you're wrong', just be humble about it and you'd better have a lot of logic to back it up - talk it out with her and don't be egotistical because in the end, she may prove to you that she might be right. This is called "communication".

Picking the wrong friend or significant other. Usually we're great judges of character, but (especially for sig others) when we have to accept that they didn't have our best interests at heart or were full of talk but no walk, that hurts.

True, all the Cap women I know have many, many male friends.

Don't know if it's different for Cap males but speaking for me, I don't have many females friends. My circle is pretty small regardless of gender, but if I'm interested in a woman more than being a friend and she doesn't reciprocate, it hurts me too much to just have her around as a platonic friend.

I have done exactly this with a cap, now I wish I knew this and didn't do it. The cap caught me red handed checking out another girl and was making fun of me for doing it...

To be exploited would be my guess.
What would hurt my ego is if you promised me something, but than never gone through with it. I observe a lot, remember a lot and I listen so if you can't match your words with your actions, not good. Hate lying and shady behavior, knowing that you deliberatly chose someone else over me that would be big nono as well.
