i need to tame my temper

im at a job that im ready to move on from, yet i need it to pay the bills.

well i started on the same day with someone that wanted the job permanently. she got it, and she's slowly moving up. they're in the process of making her a lead worker.

lately, i've been feeling like she wants, desperately, to exert her power over me. as i was leaving today she was told me "lnana, 7" I looked at her like "huh?" and she repeated again with a stern tone, and I was like what? the lady behind her said "come in monday at 7" and I was like oh. that's the time i normally get in anyway, and this chick knows that....we are cool.

she is a cancer btw.

i'm trying so hard not to clash with her but i feel it coming. i feel she wants to prove her newfound position over me, while all i want to do is show up to work, and wait for the day to be over with so i can leave. last week she tried to monitor me signing in. it's like chick calm down! I could see her monitoring the newbies but I've been there for a year now.

i know if we clash, in any way, she will do what she can to get me fired because although we are cool i've always seen in her eyes that she doesn't like me like that. although i don't like the job, i need it. i just need suggestions on how to handle the change. I'm cool as ever if she stays out of my space, but she's inching closer into it and my blood is starting to boil.

maybe i should activate my libra mars and pretend i don't know what's going on whenever she tries to tell me anything.*sigh*

I'm going through thr same thing right now with a Pisces female at work! In my head I'm like... I don't even care like you so just chill chick. But these females have something to prove and it's scary because they'll throw you under the bus to prove themselves worthy.

Omg, it's the same thing! I don't care either....at all. It's like she can have whatever her heart desires, just leave me alone. but yeah, its definitely is scary feeling that i can be thrown under the bus at any moment for anything. I don't like that feeling.

I so hate it because I really could care less. She finds me to be competition because our boss keeps promoting me even though I'm not asking to be promoted. I handle her by trying to stay under the radar, but that is no longer working. I finally come to the conclusion that she's hurting herself worrying about me so much. People will see what she's doing and it's more obvious than she or I thinks it is. If she tries to sabotage me... it'll look bad on herself. If I respond to her trying to get on me or exert her power it looks bad on me and I don't want to give her that privilege. Now I'll be honest I'll do little things to let her know I know what she's doing and it drives her crazy.... but no one else but her knows it.

That's the thing too...she's not a boss...at all. They just want her now to kind of watch everyone and basically snitch to them(the bosses) if anyone isn't doing what they are suppose to.

I'm good at ignoring too. I ignore extremely well, but that "lnana, 7" with a tone like she built the company from the ground up just threw me all off balance. My libra mars don't like situations I can't ignore.Ugh.

She is really becoming a tyrant. I see it in her eyes. I thought the scorpio there was bad, but atleast the scorpio has an appropriate tone when talking to others. The cancer usually is "sweet" but the tone she used on me really got under my skin and was unnecessary honestly.

She's management. Your being paid to take direction, she's being paid to give it. Just gotta show up, shut up, and collect the check.

OMG, almost identical situations! They've discovered I'm good at something, so I've been moved to do that and I think it bothers her that I've been moved to do something else, yet I don't want the job nor am I permanent. It's like I have a bit of freedom doing what I do, which seems like I don't have to do as much as everyone else, which isn't all the way true. I just make it look easy. Plus, the Virgo male boss likes me. Unfortunately, he's moved to 2nd shift so I'm under the boss that likes her.

I feel the same way. That she's going to screw herself over soon...especially if she starts really circling around me. I'm not as popular or friendly as she is around there, but people know that I do my work and I have no problems with anyone. I've never had a problem with anyone...I'm honestly mild mannered.

I stay under the radar too, and in my head, as usual. I'm not as clever as you lol, but I gotta figure something out. If I'm out of there, I want it to be on my own terms.

That's even worse. Someone who try's to be in control of others with no right. Man I feel for ya. And I totally get it, my libra parts canta stand rude people who do ish like that. It is definitely hard to ignore. Personally I've learned it's helps to get it out. If there is someone who you can maybe put in a complaint too if it continues.

I just went through a situation (not at work) where someone was outwardly rude to me it made my blood boil. I didn't let it out and it ended in tears. Had to come out somehow.

Aww man, sorry about that. I know how the Libra mars work. There's kind of a delay in how we react because we think about the consequences, but if someone's actions is too much of a shock, it really does affect us deeply, especially if we didn't react to it. I can't stand people and their energy sometimes smh.

So... I had a problem like this... Except I am the cancer woman... That was given more responsibility at work... My Scorpio supervisor gave me this additional "power" ...i am to basically point out my co-workers mistakes and monitor them... Which of course doesn't go over well with people that.. Have been on the job 30+ years....

.or people that I NEEDED their help just 6 months ago...

I do my best walk a fine line between... Not being a jerk... But still doing what my supervisor told me I HAVE TO DO

..maybe she doesn't want to... 😢 maybe she is stuck in a rock in a hard place..

I'm going to take everyone's advice and just calm my nerves and focus on why I'm there, when I'm there. I've honestly been trying to leave the job since the beginning of the year, but part of me feels stuck and slightly comfortable because they've been loyal to me, so it's like one foot in and one foot out, but maybe I do need to get extremely serious about leaving. I do like the people and I like the Virgo boss so, that's kind of been keeping me there...well, along with not getting many callbacks from other jobs so..

Also the tone has irritated me the most, but its not just that. Its a slow buildup of things. All of a sudden she often needs the computer I use all the time, so I end up having to wait on her to finish so that I can work. Then its starting to feel like she's following me sometimes, then the monitoring me while I sign in and telling me to sign in. She's exercised her "authority" in front of me twice now, by telling someone he only had 5 minutes, and telling a woman to basically get to work. Actually, I don't even think she's a lead yet because she just told me about them wanting to transition her to that last week.

She can't fire me, but if we clash she can tell the boss I'm not being cooperative or had an issue with what she said, or what they've told her to do.

I'm just very sensitive overall and can tell when someone is trying to get into my space, so that invasion bothers me. I need my space to get through the day, and one of the things I've liked about the job is being able to have my space and energy to myself.

I'm going to definitely do the "ok" answers and kill with kindness. Also focus on getting the money and getting out. I occasionally try to check my ego too, to make sure its not the cause of what I'm feeling.

I'm use to being a temp, and since I don't like the job like that I don't want it permanently. I'm sure I sound ridiculous, and my grandmother even asked me was I permanent yet yesterday, but I know how I am. I like one foot in and one foot out of most things unfortunately. If I'm not in love with a job then I fine being there temporarily, even if it's long-term temp. Ive never been in love with a job.
