Hi all. I was gonna put this in the comment section but it is too long. This week has been an emotional roller coaster. It's had its highs and its lows.

Let's start with my mom. She had surgery on her back which confirmed she has cancer(her second time having cancer, first time it was breast cancer). So, after the surgery the hospital pretty much kicked her out and sent her to a rehab center where she was supposed to have physical therapy. This place was horrible even though it is supposed to be one of the more reputable ones in town. I can't tell you how bad it smelled in there. Not only that, it was more like a mental health facility then rehab. The people wandering the halls were terrifying to the point where you don't want to make eye contact. They had my mom over medicated which stopped her from actually doing physical therapy 90% of the time because she was so fucked up on drugs. When we figured it out they did take her off some of the meds. So the other day they took the staples out of her back to discover that she now has an infection because they never cleaned the wound..so she is back in the hospital where she had another surgery today on her back to clean the infection. I'm leaving soon to go see her post surgery. We expect her to be in the hospital for another few days...but she still needs physical therapy but we are all in agreement she cant go back to the place she was at so we are trying to fig that out.

Then there is my 103 year old grandmother who is in an assisted living home. Well, this week we get a call that she's not eating. I had just seen her a couple of weeks ago and she looked fine. Well, now she is just laying in bed not eating and not speaking. I suspect it is cause my mom hasn't been to see her in weeks (my grandmother has no idea what is going on with my mom) we only told her my mom isn't feeling well. The decision has been made to put her in hospice. 😔

So that brings me to the most traumatizing part of this week. My sister. I found her unresponsive in a pool of her blood Thursday at work. We work together. Apparently she raised her meds the day before which made her light headed and nauseous and during lunch she passed out and hit her head. She was in a closed room napping during lunch. Lunch finished and I heard loud moaning coming from the room so I went in to see what was going on and there she was on the ground. Blood everywhere. Her unconscious. Luckily we work at a medical facility so I ran and got help right away. She needed stitches above her eye. She's "okay" in terms of herself but she's not pretty looking.

So, yeah. My life is a mess right now and Venus is about to go retrograde in Leo which is where my Venus is so I suspect it is going to get crazier.

Well dear, all that can be remedied 🙂

You have a choice of rehab. You can refuse. We did with my comatose sister.

Call the health department on that place. They get away with acting like that because no one calls them on their shit. It's like depend on family not caring and squeaking by.

Grandma, face time mom!

It makes a difference hearing familiar voices even if not completely conscious.

Again my sister🙂

Don't feel bad about your sister's situation.

You didn't lose her. That's not what she needs right now too.

Show her some love and tease her about being a light weight that she is. I'm sure you could use the TLC yourself😊

That's a lot of reminders of what's important to you and the human condition.

Take the hint.

Enjoy your time here and with people you want to.

Btw, You don't have to do everything yourself, it's not all on you. Just get everything and everyone moving in the right direction.

You got this. Cherish everyday.

God Bless

I know your family is in good hands. You are the force.

I've been there... caring for my mom after stomach and colon cancer, sister committing suicide months later... Fighting her estranged husband for her remains as he tries to extort me for it...Dad dying from cancer a few months after that. His evil wife waiting a month later to tell us our dad's dead.

You poor thing! OMG I'm so sorry about your Mom and Grandma. Can you request that your Mom get physical therapy at home?

My dad is trying. I'm not sure how far he has gotten. I heard him calling the insurance company at one point.

Two words-

Home healthcare.

It's weird that they sent her to some rehab center when there's home health available to come to the house and provide wound care and physical therapy.

I understand that Medicare will pay for a months Physical Therapy at home for those who qualify. Her doctor needs to request it.
