Posted by SecretYes. 🙂 It's been a long time since I've made anything like that, admittedly, but years ago I did a lot of baking. I also used to read food science articles and books and that helped me to understand how to get the best results, and how to spot recipes that had errors in them.
@CopperDove can you also make cakes like these?

Posted by CopperDoveInteresting about spotting errors on recipes! Posted by SecretThanks! I'm out of practice, but I recently helped my mom figure out what went wrong with something that she cooked, so that was good -- I haven't lost it (yet).Posted by CopperDoveInteresting about spotting errors on recipes! I can imagine the pressure your friends and family suffer when they cook for you 😛

Posted by NemiliciousThank you again! That is so amazing I'm kind of beside myself thinking about the skill that was needed to create that level of detail. I wish something was known about who created them and how they did it.

Posted by NemiliciousI am too, and it makes me wonder if the intelligence level of some people in the past was much higher than what we consider intelligent today.Posted by CopperDoveimagine it ....i am always amazed at these old things .. also architecture; paintings; drawings etc etc ....all of it done without the high tech precision of today. just flooring really..Posted by NemiliciousThank you again! Posted by NemiliciousYes, a new renaissance! I have the same reaction to art now vs art created it the past. Sometimes it can really disturb me to see the difference, making me wonder what was lost and why.Posted by CopperDovei have no idea ....it is an interesting aspect; i see it as a constant evolution ...but where we stand today in arts for example makes me scratch my head and yearn for yesteryears ... ..we need a new renaissancePosted by NemiliciousI am too, and it makes me wonder if the intelligence level of some people in the past was much higher than what we consider intelligent today.Posted by CopperDoveimagine it ....i am always amazed at these old things .. also architecture; paintings; drawings etc etc ....all of it done without the high tech precision of today. just flooring really..Posted by NemiliciousThank you again!
