This thread is only for CopperDove's gifs after the Front Page publish is gone.

Rules:

#1 Only @CopperDove is allowed to post a gif.

#6 Please do not photograph the artwork.

Additional notes on CopperDove's gif etiquette:

Please leave all large parcels, briefcases, umbrellas, etc. in your vehicles or with the receptionist (@TheLadyScorpio) at the front desk. Food and drinks are not permitted in the galleries. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Yes, I'm not sure what to do about that -- I don't want to annoy people with double posts.

Whenever I post on the front page I've given a lot of thought to my choice for the day -- I have a list of criteria I go through and I often change my choice depending on what else is being posted nearby, etc. It's quite a process!

That's what I'm screamin.

This is something I hesitated to put on the front page because it requires more time to catch the effect than some, and the overall composition lacks the beauty that I normally go for with my selections. The cat is beautiful of course -- I just mean the background.

Because unfortunately the Front Page doesn't have a history, it's limited. Then everything is gone.

This way all gifs are kept somewhere for future consultation 🙂

Maybe you can post the daily gifs here after a few hours of the Front Page, to avoid double posting. Or at the end of the day. Whichever suits you!

I'm very glad! That's how they make me feel too.

DXP can be a fun place with all of the wackiness and clever trolling, but I know that some people here are going through truly painful things. Having at least some break from pain, by looking at something beautiful, inspiring, etc. is good. 🙂

@Ajna I sometimes get a sense of that from the kinds of questions and answers people write, even if they aren't sharing something personal. I don't have the advantage of seeing eyes, body language and hearing inflection in voices that would alert me much more quickly, of course, so it's sometimes a bit tougher to pick it out.

I don't tend to post about difficult things I'm going through on the site, in part for the reason you mentioned. So, maybe I'm a bit more aware of the people who might be like me and trying to find some relief from pain at times?

My senses are very strong; I'm hyper-aware. Some of your gifs overstimulate my senses. I love them. But, sometimes I have to look away quickly.

I just confirmed that it's French toast on the plates in this one. The food isn't highlighted here as much as .... other things ... but I thought you might enjoy it.

I do searches online daily for them, and when I find things that meet certain criteria I've come up with, I bookmark them for future use, if they don't seem right to post that day. But, ideally I post what I find the same day I find it. The one I posted first in this thread was going to be for Valentine's Day 2017, for example, but then it seemed right to post it as part of a thank you to @Secret

So, I don't make them, but it would be wonderful if I could. 🙂

Yes, it's very nice for me, too, to look back at the gifs I've posted so I'm glad that archiving them in this thread will help. Thanks again to @Secret for the idea and creation of this thread.

This one doesn't work well on the front page -- it ends up too small (unless you click to reply to the post). It's a bit busier than what I usually choose, but I like it a lot and figured I'd post it here.

Also, I LOVE fresh artichokes.
