Well I’m about past the child bearing age and single. I’d prefer to raise a child in a two parent home. I could always adopt of course, but I also don’t want to be 70 by the time my child graduates from high school.

While I wish there were enough good homes to put them in care under, they can also be very difficult to work with. They often have lots of trauma that need to be addressed through counseling and other means of support so it would require a tremendous amount of patience and understanding which I unfortunately don't think the average person has. If they did then the children would have better care under the system to begin with but the system is completely stacked up against them. it can be fun af, and draining af, sometimes at the same time. i have one, and she is my precious leo sun aries mooner, but sometimes i'm like this is not for me, and i'm a failure as a parent.

To be honest, I am okay without kids. I just don’t see what’s so fun about having them. When they’re little they cry, throw tantrums and scream and have your house looking like a mess. It doesn’t make sense for me how all these women are excited to become moms but then they have to go to work and leave their child with theirs moms or at daycare. What’s the point of becoming a mom then? You gotta take care of the kid! You probably will need a rich husband if you want to spend time time with your baby and being a stay at home mom.
Plus, relationships are so complicated now a days and the divorce rates are high. Let’s say I don’t get along with my partner, I only have two choices: (A) get divorced and leave my child without a father or (B) be stuck to my partner since I have a child with that person. A person who is child free can just walk out of the relationship without feeling guilty or dealing with kids drama.
My cousin has twins with a man she married and then had another baby. A third one! And when the third baby was only one, she decided to separate from her husband. Why do people do this? Just keep on having kids instead of focusing on having a descent family. I guess being single dads/moms is more popular now a days than having a real family.

Gurl, sometimes I am so selfish and only concerned with what benefits me, I get shocked at myself for even desiring to have kids. I don't know why I feel this strong pull towards it, I just do? Maybe it's just biological? I can't turn it off? And everyone always says I'm great with kids (probs because I'm still a kid at heart myself). Idk maybe there needs to be a program where you borrow an infant for a month or so to test run. Pretty sure that'd help a lot of people figure things out 🤣
I also don't think most people get married in anticipation of separating some day... I feel women dread that idea more than men as the market for divorced men is much better than divorced women regardless of if there are kids involved. I also think a lot of people have kids to feel wanted or needed by another human as we are social creatures.

I don’t want any bio kids, but was tossing around the idea of adopting a 4+ year old. Unfortunately, that can get pretty expensive and there’s a few other issues with it, too.
