I think I have some stuff saved if you want me to post it.. but this thread isn't about cc, and I really do not want to derail, like you are attempting too. It's about how people should conduct themselves in an appropriate manner whilst on this site. Threatening violence on anyone, joking or otherwise is something to not be taken lightly.

Anyway, as the first post by the OP, the behavior is offensive, especially when it is constantly repeated.
Since this site is unmoderated for the most part, it is best to call it out when it happens.

Is just words on a computer screen, nothing to those words except what the user intends for those words to do to another.
So you see internet is a happy medium where by people are free from lawsuits from this so-called type of 'Behaviour'. It is designed for this by people who know this so to go and say it is 'cyber-bullying' when in fact it is not only goes to show the real cause of 'your concern' and that is if it is upsetting the other via wording/s which is what you want as you associate those words with the intent of cyber bullying to begin with. Its like if anyone really knew the real you they would know that you do intend by typing those words on the screen to cyber bully anyone you deem weak or of inferior 'quality' etcetc
Now if anyone else typed those same words on the screen their intention would be different as they would not be intending to cyberbully anyone via wording/s.

I'm not sure that is quite the same thing as what the OP is referring to.
If that's a one-off, it would have to be taken in context.
Not speaking for the OP, but I see it as a repeated pattern against multiple people--not in the context of an argument that gets heated, but as something truly malicious.
Repeated behavior (in this case, threats of violence) indicates some serious issues with the person displaying it.
Here, its best to block it, and not to quote someone speaking it, in case it is directed at someone who may have/have not blocked the person issuing it. At best, such behavior is a desperate plea for attention, at worst, a truly disturbed personality that probably needs professional help.

That's what really boggles my mind. Turning a blind eye does not help, it enables those that do it and then those that do it think it's acceptable to continue with it. I do agree with what was said above, avoid the one doing it... but that doesn't stop it from happening.
