Our olive oil products here proudly say Made in Spain. Lol. I guess they think Filipinos would still buy coz we know? Hmmm...
----
According to a ranking, the best olive oil is Spanish, being the second from Italy, different brands. So you see is just marketing. Probably you value more spanish products because of your bloodline. Is all in the genes.
Italia has really good reputation for olive oil but they cannot produce enough so they buy from Spain.
Where are you from btw?

I agree but it depends on the country (reputation). Both countries prefer their own oil.

Most are Made in China this days. And the quality is still decent enough - if the product in question belongs to a respectable brand - and it's at least from mainstream or above (the components used are usually of higher quality - compared to entry level).
Unless we're talking about some cheap brand - made in China - dosn't mean low quality anymore. One could say - "you get what you pay for...". After all even the top of the Japanese brands - moved their production line to China.
for the food, every country has a little something that is interesting to import

Does England even have food? i went to the oldest restaurant in London (self-claimed) - Rules. And it was a great menu but that was also the point, you could fit everything every thought up from England all on one menu. Not even front and back. Just one side.

mincemeat pie
pudding
triffle
some stuff like that lol
It's not even really good, but it's original around christmas or sthg

That evening I had the Norfolk crab. I didn't even know they go crab fishing off the coast of Norfolk but, to be fair, it was actually pretty good. Nothing like chilli crab but good in its own way.

so, it's just crab?

Norway.
Herring?
Chocolate, meat, fish, coffee.
They don’t believe in big multinational businesses, everything is small and local.
Chocolate true. I lived in Oslo as a kid, all I remember is the herring and chocolate.
I used to think Swiss chocolate was the best until I tried the Norwegian/Scandinavian version.

O_O
Have you tried Belgian chocolates though?
belgian chocolate is overrated

belgian chocolate is overrated
Why so? I love Belgian chocolates over and above their Swiss counterparts. There's no comparison even. I compare them to high-grade oranges vs. average apples.

of course you can't sum a whole country to a few brands, some are good, but the most famous ones I find them too creamy for my taste. I'm thinkng stuff like Leonidas
Italy is a no brainer, Versace, Prada, LV, Gucci, D&G
Switzerland is known for its watches
At the moment I think Korea is leading in Tech but also with its manufacturing, they’re pioneering and leading the way we make ships. They’re also getting quite big in the beauty industry and people are booking plastic surgery vacations over there

Bags and shoes can be made everywhere and it is mostly the design that count. But Spain and Italy has the best leather so design houses buy it from them.
