Are you firebunny's sister?
My mothers father was full blood Italian, My dads mother was full blooded Czechoslovakian. Then you have other little bits like my other grandmother is English decent and my other grandfather is German and Scottish. I'm related to one of the queens of England. Likely an evil and demented one. I'm assuming that because she was beheaded. Somewhere there is Native American also.
Born and raised in Minnesota. I'm a mix of European and Native. German, Swedish, Chippewa/Ojibwe, Irish and French Canadian Indian.
I am originally from Pennsylvania, now in Virginia - I am shortbread - known as Pa Dutch - my father's family history originally from Austria area; mother's history is British and Irish - my son just did his DNA thing and with his African American heritage he also has some history from the areas around Poland - so interesting!

My father is Haitian my mother from Oklahoma...im born an raised in NYC Queensvillage in the house.. naw let me stop..lol. but. people are always asking where i am from.. i've been mistaken for Dominican and native Pacific Islanders (Hawaiian). but To me i look like a straight Nubian queen... 🙂
Your in my boat... Same thing.. Hahahaha.. Is you mom family from America? Ou pale Kreyol?
Do you speak Creole?
Dad's Bulgarian, he escaped in the late 50's by himself at 15. Got here when he was 17 and was sponsored by an American family in Illinois.
Mom is American but her family (2 generations prior) came here from Austria to escape the Jewish oppression. She has some Portuguese in there too.
My parents met in college a couple years after my dad got here.
They eventually settled in Oregon after bouncing between the midwest and California a few times because of his work.
No real cultural stuff, my dad left his family and wanted to be an American. But he always had an open door policy for strangers in need and other immigrants, so we had regular guests at dinner or who would stay with us like a hostel until they could find a place of their own. He (and later his mom when he brought her here) taught my mom how to cook Bulgarian dishes and they spoke Bulgarian to each other (I never learned).
Brooklyn in the house. Italian/Puerto Rican

Standard humor of DXP...right here ^^^^^
Mother's side English/Scottish, Father's side Irish.
I was born in England but live in Ireland.
I am a breed of things... mostly German blooded I think. But also have Russian and English in me. My parents both had German in them, but were like sixth generation Canadian. So I guess all I can say is Canadian.
Mother - straight up German (she's still a German citizen) with some Polish mixed in.
Father - Scottish with some English mixed in.
Culture is Cleveland auto/steel worker blue collar Murican. Work hard, drink beer, smoke like chimneys, go out perch fishing out on the lake, throw shit at the TV when the Browns lose, quit your crying and bitching, etc.

Born in NYC, but am 100% Cambodian with a heavy Vietnamese/Chinese cultural influence due to my mom living in Vietnam for most of her life, and many Chinese migrating down to IndoChina in the past.

Okay...is the slav squat an actual thing?
Okay...is the slav squat an actual thing?
It's an actual thing for citizens of poor countries who don't have enough public benches and feel the need to sit without their asses touching the gross [very possibly phlem (from the chain smoking) covered] ground. 'Cause Asian people do that too. It's just FOBy as hell...

Okay I see it's also referred to as "third world squat".
But it appears the Slavs just make it look good.
I'm african american. Our culture is stereotypical. We really do love fried chicken.

So during special holidays... Do you tie the 3 cultures (Cambo,Viet, Chinese) together?

Hell NO.. Ppl in Manhattan do not eat dog?? WTH.. Where did you hear that? & Who told you that??
Chicagoan 'til Chicago ends; both parents are from The Philippines. Grew up with a huge extended family (I'm close with my cousins, 2nd cousins, etc.) and have a lot of family members in Michigan, Cali, & New York. Had a pretty traditional Filipino & Catholic upbringing, so we celebrate cotillions/débutante balls/quinceañeras, 40-day memorial services, birthdays of the deceased, & death anniversaries. My mother dabbles in astrology, synastry, palm reading, feng shui, and traditional Filipino, Chinese, & Spanish superstitions so I got my interest in astrology through her.
If you attend any of my family's gatherings, you're going to leave full, drunk, or both (maybe even a case of gout). We usually order greasy food on Christmas Day & New Years' Day since everyone is trying to kill their hangovers from the night before.
Okay...is the slav squat an actual thing?
Yes, and it can mean the difference between life and death

LOLOL! That is retarded...
The Cold War paranoia lives on through the squats
And yes I find the squat quite a natural and comfortable resting position.. only I squat more like Amerikanski spi than a true Slav
I love the "questionable liquid" requirements...
I was born in South Africa now live in the United Kingdom
My fathers side is Dutch (born in South Africa)
My mothers side is English and Scottish (Born in England)
My mum's part Spanish, part Chinese, part Filipino.
My dad's part Chinese, part Filipino.
Shut up, Ands. I have proof! 😛

There's not much to celebrate culture wise, besides Lunar New Year which a lot of Asian cultures celebrate anyway.
