Today we are laying tile in an old Dominos that had bad flood damage.Obvously not done. Black grout on quarry tile sucks! My hands will be stained for days lol
I love what you do.
Just the small renovations I have attempted after binge watching too many flip your house shows......

Hats off to you.
I almost murdered my ex husband when we did crown moulding in one room.
He would have ended up UNDER the tile if we had ever attempted that.....

Lol! It can get stressful af. We also end up on jobs with like 3-10 other people in one house. People are normally always cool though. That or they simply pay you no mind and just try to deal. If you hate home construction you defiantly wont stick around. I love it though tbh. Always different, and a perfect environment to be yourself, take pride in what you do, and learn new things. I'm still new at laying tile, but I really want to fine-tune my speed and skill.

I wanted to refrain in saying it, but in Deedee's case, I find it really terrible that the company doesn't do anything to create a Prevention suicide after so many deaths. if even the bosses don't care about human lives, they seem to care more about killing off their business. That's not good business.You have a good point. I have to defend my place because I have never heard of a suicide on our property and the state does have a program but I'm sure you are talking about the gambling business as a whole. Gambling is supposed to be a form of entertainment but there are a small percentage of people that get carried away. I don't think it can be contained just to one region, it is definitely a worldwide problem. Most US states have an 800 number that people can call for help but that is strictly voluntary. Aside from that, what else can be done? How can you spot someone with a problem especially if you work in a big casino or a large gambling town, like Vegas, where one person can just be hopping from place to place. When I see someone playing a slot machine I don't know if they are gambling their rent money or still on their free play.
I think a good start would be to allow doctors the authority to ban people. It gives family members a chance to spot and report gambling addiction and try and help. They can contact the doctor and the doctor can determine if it fits the criteria of addiction.
don't they have surveillance on certain types that come in on a daily basis or at least weekly?
casinos are heavily under surveillance, and wouldn't they keep a watch out, and they afford bodyguards, cameras on those sites.

I understand that these things happen due to severe addiction and losing all your savings, house, and you can't feed your wife and children. but on a weekly basis is really phenomenal.
maybe posters placed up, and help centers within the establishment. bartenders usually have an "eye" for those who have drunk too much and tell the customers it's enough and won't serve them, call a cab ect.

I can't speak for every place but we have surveillance and get to know the regulars.
There are people that get banned. Not to get too disgusting but there are a couple women that got banned for repeatedly urinating in the seats. These weren't elderly women that had accidents, these were 50 somethings that didn't want to leave their machines to go to the restroom. When they find a wet seat surveillance goes through the tapes to see if they can spot what it was from. It usually takes a few times to figure out the ore pants culprit and they got banned.

that's why I linked those sites, hearing the suicide rate that high, it's hard for me to imagine.
I don't work in that kind of business or have ever, so if I were to put myself in that position /authority, imagining that, there has to be a way to prevent this from happening.

there is no way to prevent this from happening is what I am trying to say - it's going to happen - they may prevent it from happening on their property, but it will happen elsewhere - what I don't appreciate is that they think they have to take family members with them to their grave that they dug - awful - let them recover, live, and enjoy their life

my mother in law hates las vegas, hates the "vibe" there, the energy, although she likes the comedy shows, but the energy of the place, the casino, the senior citizens spending all their retirement money, it made her feel ill about it. I understand where she's coming from, and I see that since she's senior, she can't grasp that that is how these other seniors spend their money on. But, people are people.

anyway, I was writing to tcta, on las vegas, my mother inlaw doesn't like the feel of the casinos, because she sees other senior citizens there wasting their retirement money on the slot machines, card tables, ect.
to her it's way too different of a world. but she loves the comedy shows there.
