Just watched it, it was pretty epic, a great conclusion to the whole franchise and a good movie.
They killed off all my favorite guys but it doesn't really matter, and I suspect there will be some kind of magical rewind.
The post-credit scene alluded to Captain marvel.
I was affraid the scenario would be a mess with too many characters but it wasn't.
The trailers made me affraid that there would be battles with barely visible non-descript CGI hordes and unfortunately it was the case. Too many of the fights were messy plasticky CGI with bodies flying all over the screen. It's the only criticism I have about the movie.
I love the space opera feel that the franchise has taken since the GOTG movies.
MCU is becoming a better star wars than star wars
Well there's still the Time Stone. So the whole process could be reversed if the avengers can get their hands on it. click to expandclick to expand

Did you stick around after the credits? Was there anything that eluded to another one?
The end could have went either way, just seems like should have been more to it.

I adored this movie, the execution was incredible.
Making Thanos the protagonist was a fantastic move, the mysterious villain is now a relatable character. His motivations, his drive all are believable. Josh Brolin was exceptional. You can feel the pain of the sacrifice he must make.
The action sequences were great, the story telling even better. 10 years of films, narrative and character development have built up to this.
The ending was brilliant. We have no idea what happens next.

Posted by MetatronI think you essentially summed it up in your previous paragraph. I think it's kinda foreshadowing that he's going to try to get Gamora/Death to love him, but she's not going to and it's going to torment him in the long run somehow.
easily my favorite Marvel film yet....went twice and may go a third time...from the very first scene I knew it was going to be good...
- Fight choreography is excellent. From Thanos vs. Hulk, to that whole GOTG/Avengers vs. Thanos scene - how they coordinated all that is so impressive...Ironman seems to be getting a bit out of hand with all of his gadgets; he's almost like a tech version of Green Lantern, but its cool to watch anyway....So basically Starlord's brief moment of sentimentality over Gamora caused the death of half the beings in the universe...
- all of the character design, CGI, etc/ especially Thanos and Cull Obsidian/the Black Order look so good...
- the humor seems to be getting better w/these films; the GOTG banter with Thor had me laughing both viewings...
Thanos is such a great villain and really made the movie for me. His moments of vulnerability were more moving than the deaths of all the heroes IMO. Slightly disappointed with the re-writing as the whole storyline w/Gamora is interesting but I'm not not sure why they basically reinvented the entire reason for acquiring the stones and the Infinity War. Its supposed to be a sort of dark romance with him attempting to end all life as a sacrifice in order to court Lady Death who he's in love with - basically the abstraction of death personified as a woman - and I thought they were going to introduce her, and that whole theme in this movie. Gamora and the daddy-daughter dynamic seems to vaguely replace this. Seems to me that a lot of these writers are borrowing ideas like this depopulation agenda from pop culture globalist/NWO-type conspiracy theories, and its a lot less creative than the original storyline. At least it wasn't overly politicized....
Still enjoyed the dynamic between him and Gamora...But I didn't really understand his vision of her after all the death. He sees her and its like he's reporting to her that the job is done. Left wondering - why is she a child in the vision? And is this objective in some way, to where some aspect of her was in on the plan? Or is it basically conjured by his own imagination in his continued grief?

I was thinking that possibly part of why Dr. strange gave up the Time Stone to save Iron Man was because he saw it in the future that they need Iron Man to defeat Thanos. Remember before they encountered Thanos, he saw 14,000+ potential futures for them and they only win ONCE. That once must invilve Iron Man otherwise he wouldnt have given up the Time Stone.

Posted by Impulsvyou shouldn't read this thread before watching the movie though
I haven’t watched it but amazon prime has marvels infinity stone the key to infinity war?
I suppose it’s explained in detail

Posted by LittleStarPosted by MetatronHe used the time stone. It was him talking to her in the past while he was time traveling to apologize to her. She vaguely remembers this which is why she asked Starlord to kill her so that he wouldn’t be able to get to the stone as the thing he loved wouldn’t exist. But he used the reality stone to make Starlord attempts useless.

I don’t think they introduced the Death thing because it wasn’t as sympathetic of a motive and since she hadn’t been brought up at this point in the movies it wouldn’t have worked as well as using situations with characters people already cared about.
The Fish is glad too they are changing it a bit so that the movies aren’t super predictable. click to expandclick to expandclick to expand

Posted by hydorahFor me personally I probably wouldn't have ever cared enough to watch the movie in the first place.Posted by Impulsv
