Pisces men: Great actors, or hopeless romantics?

I’ll start this off by saying I’m pretty accustomed to men telling me they love me. It’s not a problem in my perspective since they still seem to understand the nature of our relationships are sexual, and accept it as that.

In August I started seeing a Pisces who professed his love for me wayyyy faster than most of my other sexual partners: the first day we met face-to-face. I just brushed it off as a fetish (like maybe he was seeking the GFE), but as I’ve continued to see him he’s become more and more persistent.

He likes to play house with me, he considers me his girlfriend (and says I’m “wifey”), all things I consider the GFE, right?

Well, he’s expressed more intimate thoughts, than span way deeper than what I feel is just girlfriend-roleplay.

He speaks of planning to run away with me (he’s in a relationship, the woman has caught his affair with me twice because his lies are so sloppy [imagine the awkwardness of being out on the town with your lover and seeing 31 missed calls on their phone 🫣], and yet this woman still stays with him), actively talks about specific things I said that he couldn’t stop thinking about while at his job as a surgeon, speaks of an urge to meet my parents, wants to put a baby inside me, and oh yeah, despite having a history of being a serial cheater he insists when we run away together he wants to be 100% devoted to me and he will put all his energy into doing so (as if humans can choose to be monogamous)😂

I see him as a walking red flag, but I also thought the same of my gemini boyfriend who exhibited similar behaviors. You know what both these men have in common? CANCER MOON

Can someone please explain the pisces psyche to me? I just don’t understand how people can be so comfortable moving so fast (like even when my cancer moon bf moved this fast I was mortified).

Is it a pisces thing or a cancer moon thing? Do they understand boundaries? Do they act like this on purpose, as a way of torturing you (maybe they feed off your fear)??

Are they serious about these kind of feelings, or is it a ruse? The answer to this question will help me decide if I keep seeing him or not. I don’t want to hurt him, but up until he spoke of meeting my parents I thought this was just a joke.

If it’s just a phase that will pass, I’ll probably keep seeing him because he spoils me 🤑🤑

Their feelings can run deep, their imaginative brain running on overdrive if you fit their romantic ideal, and thus can get attached easily.

Is it real attachment if it’s led by imagination? Are they self-aware enough to see it’s just a fantasy, or do they live their existence believing what they feel is reality? I guess in a way, it’s their reality, so maybe that’s insensitive to ask.

Ok so I’m guessing you’re implying this represents the pisces mentality in love.

Let me ask you this (and maybe I’m going out on a limb on this so please, tell me if I’m connecting dots where there aren’t any).

Narcissists idealize their love interests. Sometimes they truly believe their love interest is gods gift, sometimes it’s just an act to get their love interest attached. Then once they get what they want from their love interest, they devalue them, mentally destroy them.

Is the pisces path to love the same as that? Idealize and then devalue? Or do pisces really stay in that imaginative/fantastical state of mind for as long as the relation lasts?

ya I’ve met a few of my other clients’ children as well. Will say the fire sign men have been the most common in introducing their kids to me.

It’s definitely not his cancer moon… lol cancer moons seek security and I doubt he feels emotionally “safe” with you, considering the circumstances. That’s all his Pisces/Neptunian energy that’s spinning that fantasy web, and he is GOOD! 😂 you may have met your match scorp.. he is going to spin a web around you to make you feel special the same way you’ve spun a web around the other men in your life to make them feel special, to ensure that you keep up with supply .

I’ve met this one before lol. It’s lip service. They fall in and out of “love” on a whim. He’ll never leave this woman who sticks with him no matter what—that’s the ultimate test of love for him, “you love me even though…”. I wouldn’t read too much into it. It’s lust and pillow talk. They are reeeally good about painting a picture—but that’s all it is, a fantasy. Never reality. They don’t like it lol, reality’s not as much fun! Readily this gave me chills bc he literally said aaaaaall the same things. I remember bringing him flowers on Valentine’s Day only to be turned away at the door by his grandmother lol. He was fucking his ex at that time and I just didn’t find out until later. I’m not saying every Pisces man is like this…. But I’ve met this one haha. So eerily similar, and yes it’s a big red flag. You’re a big girl though, I doubt you’ll have a problem. Just because he meets your parents, doesn’t mean he’s loyal. Just means he wanted to meet them, his curiosity is piqued. He may grow bored, or further interested. But I’m just very wary of this kind of talk nowadays after all that. Ultimate rug pull.

This is seriously scary…. Down to the family photo shoot and everything…. 🚩 I have a theory that people like this are emotional leeches. They can’t really produce these emotions on their own, so latch onto the first thing that makes them “feel”.

the whole portrait thing reminds me of my boyfriend telling me we should have one made with our pets. that was our 2nd month together.

my pisces moon ex and i had a portrait done in the park on our 1st date.

i'm somebody who overthinks but can just as easily drop an idea/person so i can go with the flow without too much damage unless i was too high effort in it but whatever i'll just drop you and whine. if you're the type to feel too deeply over every little impulse, then too bad.

plus i too can recite a long speech of BS so as you take mine with a grain of salt, then i'll take yours the same.

much as i love my man, i know his sign has a terrible reputation for being inappropriate. on my side of the world, they're the most likely zodiac sign men to be caught videotaping intimate encounters. they are not what astrology and starry-eyed rookies claim to be. so yeah maybe your gem guy might be better for you.

I like how your post captured the multi-facetedness of mutable people; they can be this, but they are also that. Sometimes I get so caught up needing a definitive answer on who someone is & what they’re intentions are, that I get nervous when the definitive answer is undefined.

Not to say he’s the same, but the one I referenced has a temper and was very physical. Trust your instincts and hopefully they lead you in the right direction.

I think was more about pushing boundaries and control than true violence. But yes, very odd from what I hear all around. He just had problems. But so did I. Nothing to warrant violence, but I had self esteem problems that made me accept treatment I felt I deserved. Didn’t stop until I put a stop to it.

Also a 🚩 for me anyways when someone seems overeager to escape. They must have a lot of negativity going on inside, and I don’t need it. I only say that bc that’s the only time I was off the rails. But I ended up wanting more for my life. Dabbling is one thing, living fucked up is quite another. No judgement bc I lived that way for a long time—but it’s no comparison to me now that I don’t. It also speaks to their impulse control and discipline.

You are right, I haven’t been shutting his fantasies down; I always go along with whatever tone my clients set, though I will say I haven’t had any set a pretext of “let’s start building a life together and work towards leaving our partners and starting a new life in a new place”, but I suppose most of my other clients have been realists and seen the value of staying in their current marriages (not saying Pisceans are unrealistic, but I definitely see why they have a reputation for having their head in the clouds. I have a Pisces bff who also has a history of having her head in the clouds, but I just figured it was her ADHD and unusual upbringing, but now I may be understanding it’s a trend among fish 🤣🤣).

Ok this is funny because I have another pisces client who is an asshole so I charge him more $ $ $ than usual, and flat out tell him I charge him more and give him less benefits than my others. He always asks me “well why are you charging me more??” And I don’t have the heart to tell him it’s because he’s a misogynistic pig, so I just say “because you’re willing to pay more, duh”.

I rarely get involved with assholes though. Most are lovers who need the regular escape from the burdens of their everyday lives. Never mean, but not as enthusiastic as the pisces either; boundary is pretty clear that they see me strictly as a mistress, despite some introducing me to their kids or pretending to make babies with me. There have been a couple who have showed interest in a serious relationship (including one whose family I met), but they never actively pushed it; their approaches are/were more passive.
