So How would you react if your boyfriend or girlfriend

I'm totally fine with it, as long as there's a reason for it. Sex, sadness, bad dreams, house is on fire. All those are work for me, no matter what the schedule. It's stupid crap like, "Hey, are you awake? Wanna play Super Smash Bros," that bothers me, and I mean no disrespect to Super Smash Bros.

Sure why not? And if I needed to sleep before an important day at work, or whatever else similar that required rest, responsibility and preparation, they'd be understanding. People who don't get simple things like that are not to be dated.

I told me libran ex that i really need my sleep to function and he would always wake me up in the worst way and we would have fights over it, he would apologise for doing it but I knew he would be doing it on purpose, fucking librans and cardinal signs always act like catalysts, they claim they like balance, peace and harmony but always start the biggest fights!

I dont care if youre the queen of england, wake me up and I collect your fucking head.

Wow Its Good to see such distinct replies. I Personally don't mind my guy waking me up at night like @DollyLuxe said my boyfriend wanting to talk to me is so precious to me also he doesn't mind me waking him up at any time or At least he say so lol. last night I slept while waiting for his text (he was busy with something) I had just 3 hours to sleep and when he got free he woke me up we had a talk for like 15 minutes and then he said let's sleep after which he slept and I couldn't because my sleep was disturbed still I loved it that he woke me up. Whenever he is having difficulty to sleep I always ask him to wake me up right away so that we can talk till he sleeps but he doesn't want to disturb my sleep but when he does I love it lol.

You are right but as we talk til late hours at night and I try to sacrifice my sleep for his happiness I have surely suffered some not very good symptoms due to this

But staying up for not more than 30 minutes because... Not only me but he needs to sleep too :p

Occasionally(once in 3 months) I wouldn't mind staying up until dawn(say we have holiday tomorrow ), but if it is everyday - not more than 20-30 minutes.

It was painful...to answer phone at 3 am..

Lol your friend reminds me of my friend who used to do the same thing as well she used to talk my ears out for hours and hours and always wanted me to dictate the whole question to her on phone and I used to do what I was asked to lol. But now there is no way I am going to do that for anyone who isn't that close to me. I can still do that for my family and my partner they are the only ones who reserve this right and no one else 😛

I love hearing my partner out and seeing/listening to his voice as much as possible. So I would actually appreciate being woken up by him. I'm not much of a complainer if I'm woken up anyway.

My current partner and I have different time zones. It's hard sometimes because he's hours ahead of me, and I really resent the feeling that I get when I'm disrupting his sleep, so I'll often push him to get to bed as soon as possible. But this cutie makes every excuse in the book to stay up later than he should to chat up a storm.

I also work Nights, so most of my mornings and parts of my afternoons are spent sleeping...which is usually when he's going about his day working at his office and whatnot, and that also takes away time from us. But, like mentioned before, we make up for it in little ways. Many times we'll video chat for an hour or so before he gets to bed.

Needless to say, I always look forward to the weekends to hear from him. I guess all the talking we do then over video makes up for the times we don't get to talk.

In any case, I don't mind him waking me up. He's often respectful of my sleep, though. My little lovebug❤ï¿½ï¿½'ï¿½

They wouldn't be able to do so via call/text because my phone is on silent when I sleep, for that very reason. Lol LDR's are hard, and if you two both have busy schedules, I don't get why whatever it is can't wait until the next day when you two have both waken from a good nights sleep. Whatever it is can wait. Unless its very important, or theres no work the next day.

I would never be with such a disrespectful person who would think of their happiness before my well being.

To have to wake me because there is an emergency is acceptable .... but, if it makes them happy that my life is fucked up due to lack of sleep, then I'd never be with them in the first place.

What is the point in fantasizing about what if's?

Sleep deprivation is a serious condition, in which often renders the person reckless, and lacking sound judgment. If it would give him "happiness" to be this inconsiderate .. then he needs to look towards people like you, and others in here who lack respect.

A REAL partner, who values you ...... would actually protect you against being unnecessarily woken up, and their "happiness" would come from making sure they are looking out for your well being.

The only person(s) that would be able to wake me up out of sleep would my child. It's not my responsibility to tend to grown person's fear, needs or "emergencies". I mean seriously, if it really is an emergency how is it I would be more capable in that moment than calling 911? Naw...clearly we need to address your problem solving skills and dependency issues.

If we're in a long distance relationship... Then time is precious... So I wouldn't mind at all.. Because I know there is a time difference so whenever we get to contact each other that is a very special time...

Its ok to do sometimes. My boyfriend works nights, so I usually talk to him until he gets to work at midnight (unless I'm really tired, then he understands.)
And he'll call me super early in the morning when he gets off (sometimes I answer, because I'm getting up within the hour anyway, but sometimes I need my sleep, which he understands.)

It's ok to do what's within your means, as long as they understand and would be willing to reciprocate.
