Why do men need to shower women with gifts? Who told you that?
Men don't have to shower women with gifts.
But I do love it when my Fiance would surprise me with something and it doesn't have to be tangible. For example I came over the other night and he's like let's go to bed early and he had the bedroom prepared dimly lit with a candle light and he gave me the best massage ever.

ADs that companies sell to make money, EXTREMELY stressful for a man because those ads basically tell them our happiness and their proof of their love for us is in a box or whatever they are selling.
It is up to those of us who don't believe in to to reassure our men about the truth that they don't have to give their money to a company that doesn't care about us in order to buy the same generic thing that Joe Blow is also getting his girlfriend to say that they love us:

We were on vacation and had an amazing evening on the beach. The next day, he gave me a perfect shell that he had picked up. He kept one for himself too, with my initials in it.

I agree, especially when you're someone like me that's, just meh, when you get me something. I'm way more into words and acts of service but my mom is a gifter, I'll come home from work and she will have stopped by and put a new shirt on my couch or something. I saw it as really annoying until I learned and now it's just sweet. ?
