Never had luck with my venus in Virgo. I've attracted a few of these recently and it just doesn't work hah

I didn't get the unemotional thing until I realised it's because I hide it. So maybe we come across that way.
I've been told that I can come across as stand offish to men when they first meet me even though I'm friendly. I think that's because if I like someone I don't like to show it until I know the feelings mutual so I'm guarded.
If I love you then the barrier comes down and I will be there for you and show you that love in so many ways. I'm not a clingy woman either if there's 100% trust then I don't see the harm in each having independence.
I can be detached when I feel the person has lost interest or I'm being ignored then that barrier is straight up and I'll detach from that person but the feelings will still run deep inside I just won't show it.
I was with my husband for 15 years and I was the most loyal and faithful wife. So the whole best been single thing is bollocks.

This is funny and accurate.
If I want my Venus in Aqua to get "feely" I just get him drunk and I honestly think it's a welcome release for him. He gets to use alcohol as an excuse to be emotionally expressive. It's adorable.
But after almost 2 years I can read him pretty well too. I'll purposely try to shock him or get a reaction. I'll bend over in front of him to show my stockings and play innocent and he won't have any noticeable reaction but I know he's going crazy underneath the poker face.

If you're someone who wants or needs those reactions you're out of luck (uses to be me) if you can just do it and not care about the positive affirmations...youre good.

I'm the same when I get drunk, it's like the barrier drops and I can't do anything about it. Plus I get verbal diarrhea and tell them what I'm really thinking emotionally.
My friends say I totally loosen up when I'm drunk.
My guy does that, we can be in a bar and he'll do something to try and shock me. I'm like a swan all gracious on the surface but underneath I'm going like the clappers. He knows what he's doing but I don't react haha.

I do love my family, especially my mom though I never said that I love her. I love people of how funny and foolish they are, but I prefer keeping the distance (cautiousness of Cancer Rising maybe?) I have alot of trines to my Venus (air dominant) which makes me the stereotypical. So, I feel like Venus in Libra not only gets me but, likes me.

Oh, I didn't realize this hot and cold thing is aqua venus. I do it cause I'm sensitive and self protective. I don't want to be too attached to anyone. That way if they leave my life, I won't crumble.

I have so many Aqua suns in my family... I know this energy VERY well. With the men, I always feel like punching them or hugging them, because they could be real jerks about their need for independence, but I also clearly see their fear to get too close. It looks like an inner-jail they could never really escape. The feeedom lovers seem to always create the opposite for themselves. They want closeness and fear it to death. So sad.
With women - I am much closer to them. But maybe women are naturally just more willing to closeness.
With Pisces suns... I feel duped! Because the Pisces energy desires the closeness and invites it - so I'm all over that! But then you get whiplashed by the cold and aloof Aqua energy that just came from left field.?...
I wish the Aqua energy would come out first so that I could prepare myself and just make sure I don't get too close ??. Keep it light and aloof. Treat them like my Aqua friends and all will be well in the world ?
Aww man. ?? I do want to be close, but people tend to unintentionally hurt my feelings a lot. Then I have to put my shield back up. I don't fear losing my freedom, I only fear losing myself. I tend to always hold a little something back with people, so I'm not completely devastated if things go south. Maybe that's what you're sensing with the Aqua aloofness. I'm all like I love this person, they're awesome. Then my aqua side goes best not to get too attached ya know, nothing lasts forever. Then I pull back a little.

Normally, I can't tolerate dead time with most romantic interest- either we are doing something or doing each other- doing nothing is a no no. If I want my Venus in Aqua to get "feely" I just get him drunk and I honestly think it's a welcome release for him. He gets to use alcohol as an excuse to be emotionally expressive. It's adorable.
But after almost 2 years I can read him pretty well too. I'll purposely try to shock him or get a reaction. I'll bend over in front of him to show my stockings and play innocent and he won't have any noticeable reaction but I know he's going crazy underneath the poker face.
