but who do you prefer?? Britney or Taylor Swift and why??

I thought maybe the people liked her best because she is from a commoners background, not wealthy,

but then again that's not true, lots of people from wealthy background get love from the people.

Brittany is beloved my her niche of fans but she is not nominated in music categories like the VMAs and Grammys, she seldomnly appears on red carpets, let alone is asked to perform, she may have a single here or there but you rarely here them on the radio like before, people dont talk about Brittany'a videos anymore...I would not categorize her like Madonma because in her 30s and 40s Madonna was still making huge waves in Hollywood. Her tours were still highly talked about, the level of attention Brittany attracts due to her celebrity is different than the 00s when it was literally Brittany, boyband, Christina mania.

God I kinda miss those years lol

Madonna is just looking more like a caricature in her old age, it was beautiful in her 40s, when she got married and had her 2nd child, she looked like a woman middle aged happy in a foreign land (U.K.) and then all went down hill....

I think that's her biggest 10 year success, even before her "Like a prayer" days.

I don't get the appeal with Taylor Swift. I don't find her or her squinty eyes attractive. I don't think she's a good performer. She's not much of a singer, but then again neither is Britney.

I feel like if Britney never would have suffered her meltdown, at this point she'd be surpassing Madonna by now. But life kind of took over for her. I also feel like she's way more focused on being a mother and living a normal life then being the pop queen again. Cancer MC life!

But in terms of who's better, I feel like Britney has more charisma and star power with just a look in her eye then Tay-Tay has in her whole body.

yes, Britney does have more star power and charisma than taylor.

I don't know why, but taylor just doesn't have it.

I agree! I see her Jupiter Leo trining her Aries moon, cancer mars break out!! but her mutability makes it all cray.

Taylor has Aqua and Scorpio influences. also Cap. her style is better.

(also she is a composer. so a real artist.

but she has not come with a revolutionary cord as twenty one pilot would say.)

I grew up with Taylor and I can say without a shadow of a doubt that Taylor is no Britney. The only appeal Taylor has is (or was) her innocent image, her catchy tunes, the fact that she bathes in drama, and has a commercial image and sound that sells to a lot of people.

She is not exceptionally charismatic, she has zero stage presence, no sex appeal, her sweetness comes across as fake, she can't sing that well, she can't dance for shit, her body is kinda bleh, and she is pale as fuck.

I'm not saying she's boring. I like Taylor, but compared to Britney she is nothing.

I agree. Another pop star like that is Katy Perry. She literally offers nothing except releases the same sounding, same generic music every single year and radio and the little kids eat it up. She's a 30-something year old woman dressing up in ice cream outfits with lime green hair and has these kid-friendly pop songs.

I cannot WAIT for the day that pop stars like Katy Perry and Taylor Swift FADE away. They will never have longevity in the business. They bring nothing to the table and they're one-trick pony's. As soon as this "era" of pop music ends, they're gonna fade away, because they're not going to know how to transition into the next era of music.

Rihanna on the other hand, she's a little more feisty, she's a little more daring, more of a risk-taker - I feel like she's gonna be around for a long time. But who knows.

Rihanna is not my cup of tea but I like her for the same reasons you do. I still like Beyonce better, she is a real superstar.

Yea, Katy Perry is another mediocre pop star, haha.

But yeah. Even at her sexiest or her best, Taylor cannot touch Britney.

tries too hard to be sexy. lol she's so stick skinny and doesn't seem to have a sexy image, so I think she should stay away from trying to look sexy. Shania Twain does it BETTER even though Twain is twice her age.

Taylor Swift gives me neurotic control freak vibes, like she prob screams at "the help" behind closed doors for not properly color-coordinating her headbands.
