Makeup to cover sunburn?

Yesterday I went to the beach and forgot to put on sunscreen because I was just too excited to get into the water. Now my face is burned (as is the rest of my body). I’m just wondering if I should put foundation on my face so I don’t look too angry while traveling home today. Is it bad to put makeup on a sunburn?

You shouldn’t. Just put aloevera or a good after sun cream and let it heal

Aloe Vera mixed with essential oil of lavender works wonders....it healed my sunburn quite quickly

No makeup....

Make sure your also drinking lots of water so you don’t peel.

Not sure it would work tho.

I did it last night. I felt like it looked a little blotchy but the burn was definitely covered up.

How bad is it? Some foundations contain alcohol and that would just irritate it. If you really have to, the most I'd use is tinted moisturizer.

I guess my face burn wasn’t that bad because it’s gone now. But my back is still damn near purple 😱😱 Thanks for the input!

I didn’t know the two were correlated, but that makes sense. I wish there was a way to speed up the healing process other than that.

The Last Samurai - did you actually watch the whole film? If you did, then you'd know he wasn't playing an Asian man, but a white man who embraced Japanese culture over time. Also, in the 1800s the Japanese were opening up to the world and receiving assistance and military training from Europe and the US. This white man you saw in the Last Samurai was a representation of that process.

I remember being taught in elementary school that the first humans were white but the sun burnt us so bad that our skin naturally darkened. Is that true? No it isn’t true.

I’ve heard that kids get taught that rubbish so it’s not like it’s news to me but to actually hear (or read in this case) from someone’s mouth that they got taught that is mind boggling to me. You really are from the Deep South!
