it's okay to use the word "female"

Is that an unpopular opinion to some people? I wasn't aware that using the word "female" is an issue.

I think it depends on context? Like if someone says "Oh, my dog is female." that's fine but when someone says something like "Listen here female!" that's when it becomes an issue. Also culture comes into play with this.

Right, I was wondering is the usage of "females" to refer to women as opposed to a gender was the issue in that case. That makes sense.

No human has the right to kill an innocent baby. Except if the baby is the Antichrist

There are only 2 genders. Boys are boys, girls are girls, and your feelings mixed with the idea of who you think you are won't change my knowledge of elementary science.

The only humans who are truly privileged are those who privilege themselves.

What about the group of people who are biologically born with either mixed sexual organs or ambiguous genitalia? The people who by nature aren't born in one category or the other as dictated by current parameters.

Soul was trolling. Op asked for unpopular opinion so he obliged.

Makes sense. I figured it was a decent question just to throw out there.

Yeah, I think the issue is that it removes individual identity in the example I gave. The reverse, "Listen here male!", would also be an issue.

Feminism is stupid and disrespectful.

Disagree, depending on what you mean by "feminism". True feminism focuses on women's rights like the ability for women to vote and have a place in the workplace outside of the home. Neo (or radical) feminism is a different story altogether that usually boils down to "man hate".

Like a hermaphrodite?

I believe it's true. Perhaps a mutation, though that's truly a mean way to put it.

If you're a man or woman dressed in drag though its just that. Not saying it's wrong if that's truly what they chose to be. In fact I respect people who are true to who they feel they are. However a man is a man, and a woman is a woman. No opinion or surgery will ever change that in my eyes.

I said "your" not "an" unpopular opinion.

Maybe you should be directing that instruction to the right person then.

Nothing wrong with any sexuality. Nothing wrong with truly thinking you're the opposite sex either, except it will never change my knowledge on the human anatomy. That is my only point.

Hermaphrodite would be an example, but is now considered to be a more rigid and outdated since it typically only describes a person with both male and female genitalia or a combination of the two. (The origin of the word hermaphrodite is really interesting as well).

There's a substantial amount of people whose sexual identities are very ambiguous at birth, being neither male or female (otherwise known at intersex). This occurs when the person is born with genitalia that belongs to neither sex. Since male and female babies aren't terribly dissilimar when born, this can become more confusing when an infant shows signs of neither sex. At which point through hormone therapy and possible surgeries, physicians "assign" the person's sex.

The sad thing is, nature (or rather human biology) people who are intersex have bodies that don't conform to the traditional binary gender types. As a result some people who have genders assigned to them suffer depression, psychological, and physical issue because they don't quite "fit in" to the normal societal tropes.

I have so many unpopular opinions, I don't even know where to start, I'm overwhelmed.

okay I'll try with just the gender based opinions. Prepare to be outraged DXP...

-"feminity" is an invention, there are no particular feminine qualities, there is only genderless humanity and masculinity. Culture is just spreading that lie of "humans with makeup on the face"

-female is not the "pretty gender", if there was to be one, it would have to be males. This is causing so much suffering in our world (#1 cause of transexuals)

-during sexual intercourse and in generic conditions, everybody should be preoccupied with their own pleasure (sexual 'invisible hand')

Too much muscle isn't sexy

I actually agree, I've warned Jed to not buff up too much, it doesn't suit his body type. It would look strange, like a horizontally stretched gorilla. It's not a good look, especially if you're of average height like him.

That the majority of people have a vast distance between their true self and ideal self, but find facades that disprove that to be the easier option for both themselves and others.

oh I agree

and it takes time for the front to fade and then when you really get to know that person for what he is not what he thinks/says he is

Princess Diana wasn't that big of a deal.

Disagree. She did more humanitarian work than you did when you dipped your pinky in a jar of peanut butter.

🤗 cyber hugs!

Love,

Eva

PS: RIP Diana

She was a rich privileged white girl with a bad case of white guilt.

There's plenty of everyday people who aren't rich and privileged who give back to their community in as many ways as they can and as much as they can and no one ever hears about those folks.

She's a perfect example of the western infatuation with cults of personality.

I don't get the appeal of New York City. It looks ugly, overcrowded and I feel like I'd be murdered by a homeless person within seconds of even getting there. I'm definitely a city boy, but I don't know if I accept NYC as being as amazing as it's made out to be. Unless I get to be a sex toy for Steve Gold, then I'd go LOL!

Agree! (Except for last part lmao ??)
