A podcast that I listen to had someone write in about a situation with her boyfriend.

They were in IKEA and a guy and his girlfriend freaked out at her boyfriend and accused him of taking pictures of her. He denied it and told them they were full of shit. The girlfriend defended him. They kept telling him to delete the pictures and he said he didn't have to show them his phone, etc. etc.

They leave after addressing what an asshole he is. The girlfriend asks him if he really took pictures. He said no. She asked to see his phone. He had TEN pictures of this girl and her ass on his phone.

He downplayed it and said it was okay because everyone does it and takes pictures.

This, in light with all the shit going on in Hollywood atm, makes you wonder what the hell and why would he think it's okay to take pictures like that of other women without their consent?

The hosts generally agreed it was an asshole move, but where I left off, the consensus was that she should ditch him because he lied and he's being a freaking perv. She said she wasn't sure what she wanted to do because he was downplaying it like it's okay. I think she's having a hard time coming to terms with his behavior and doesn't want to do the logical thing.

What would you if you were in the same situation?

cut ties probably someone who degrades women publicly, deny it, and then tries to normalize their behavior isn't worth the trouble or time

but what's happening in Hollywood?
....

Have you been living in a hole?

Harvey Weinstein, Kevin Spacey, and a shit ton of others getting ousted by those who they molested and/or were inappropriate with.

They pretty much thought they could go around behaving like that because they were them.

Kinda falls in line with this guy thinking it was okay to do what he did.

I was on another forum and most of the men there started question some of the things that they may have done inappropriately to women..

They really had a hard time thinking anything they did was wrong. Other then the occasional unwarranted dick pics.

Morality... or maybe I should say common decency is a bit vague for some.

Apparently. When it comes to the matters of what the penis wants, they don't give it much thought.

Not being snarky, but testosterone = grunt grunt hur sex. Some guys just do not put a lot of thought into it and because our society encourages women to just tolerate a lot of this garbage, they don't usually face many negative ramifications.

Hell, I was in middle school when some guy in my class randomly felt up my leg. I promptly slapped the fuck out of him and he was so taken back by the response. Horny teenager, sure dots aren't connecting, but it's like are you fucking serious?

But it's the south. No shocker there. My dad had a friend over for Thanksgiving one year and the guy brought his son, who was about my age. By the end of the day, the guy was suggesting that he let his son take me to bed. We were freaking 14 years old. Srs fuckery for sure.

I think she didn’t realize it’s a big deal and thought oh boys will be boys and he’s just immature.

She’ll probably pay for that in the future if they end up getting married and having kids. She’ll be married to the creepy guy at family gatherings and parties.
No, she felt like it was a big deal but wasn't sure because he was trying some manipulative shit by trying to convince her it wasn't a big deal and that everyone does it so it's okay.

Her internal wtf meter was going off but he was trying to downplay her reaction.

Dude's obviously a fucking loser. What do you wanna bet he has hundreds of those pics on his phone?

It can be pretty disturbing if you find out what a perv ass your boyfriend is though. She probably isn't sure how to react just yet. I'd lol if she got back in touch with the show down the road and was like I left that douche.

I don't get this story. It was a girl, her best white knight buddy and her boyfriend or just the two of them? And that guy didn't take pictures of another girl but his girlfriend? Is that the issue here? That damn pig of a rapist! 😡

This problem isn't gender-specific, but there's a great deal of hypocrisy when it comes to which gender is taking the photos.

Feel better?

Not denying it happens, but every time you and all the other pussy, whiner dudes use the "NUH UH" rebuttal, it makes me lol. Centuries of oppression, abuse, and objectification can't be dismissed with the "nuh uh" rebuttal, sorry.

Your response is just another symptom of a larger issue. Any time a woman addresses a gender specific issue, dudes like you come in and make it about yourselves.

Women- "Hey this shit happened to me and it's not cool!"

"So?? It happens to us .000001 percent of the time too so you can't complain about it! Our miniscule problems outweigh your obviously larger one because it's all about us!"

In other words, your kindergarten response essentially dismisses a much larger problem with a not so large problem and you want us to just deal with it because a few men have experienced a problem that MOST women have their whole lives?

Get the fuck over yourselves, kthx.

I watched a real story on YouTube where a shady man followed a woman at Walmart (while her husband and two little kids there!) and he knelt down to take a picture from between her legs cause she was wearing a dress.

She turned and saw him and shoved him to the shelves by his neck and took his phone and even made a police report. The sad thing is that dude had his YOUNG child with him!

It's a seriously fucked up message to send to a small child. Boy- It's okay to do this to women. Girl- look at how adult men treat your mother with zero respect.

Which podcast is this?
It's a local radio station that makes their daily shows available via podcast- Frosty, Heidi, and Frank.

I'm having trouble grasping why this fuckmuppet thought it was acceptable to take pics in the first place.
Right??

It's also sad that the girlfriend hesitated in ditching him because he dismissed it like it was no big deal.

It's sad on both fronts, tbh. You know her gut was telling her to ditch the asshole.

That's hard to say, I mean if your heart is in it, it will be hard to let go but my logic would say dump him or payback is a bitch.

For the record, no person in their right mind would do that shit. That's a whole 'nother level of stalking/perversion. I'm sure dude wouldn't like some other guy taking pics of his girl. On top of that, how completely and utterly disrespectful to do that to your girlfriend who was present at the time you took those pics. I think this is what would help me move on to someone else who'd respect me.

You'd be amazed at the sick shit that goes on out there. I didn't even know how bad the extent was til a friend of mine got involved in a bike club. Their trip to Vegas one time was sick enough- plotting on ways to get laid, all involving manipulating and intoxicating girls in some way, shape, or form. Then they would record themselves fucking these chicks who were so drunk and tired. They had a game of "last one up" meaning whoever could stay up the longest with the last chick would be able to zero in on her and fuck her. They also brought in girls with them in case they couldn't get any chicks in Vegas. SO much planning and sick shit involved in just getting their dicks wet and it all involved some crazy shit.

One of them also had a roommate who was known as being a "creeper" and it was so sad how many people in that group dismissed it and didn't really call the dude out on his creeper ass behavior. I was like guys, you know he's basically a fucking predator, right?

"Yeah, well these girls know what they're getting into and nobody has complained yet...."

....Ugh. Because getting a chick drunk to fuck her is still seen as perfectly acceptable.

Btw, I actually agree with what you and other dxpers have said in this thread. But I'm not going to chime in about something that's so obviously disrespectful to all the parties involved.

Did I really have to state the obvious that I didn't agree with his actions, in order for you not to go off like a rabid dog?

Nothing stopped you from asking where I stood on the issue, but you just couldn't resist jumping to conclusions (so... irrational!).

Next time, take your frustrations or post-traumatic stress out on someone else...

No sweetheart, the problem is that any time a topic comes up, here comes the immediate replies of "well guys too." "HYPOCRISY!!!" Orly? Tell me, what are the numbers of murders and violence against your gender from the opposite gender? When it comes to this stuff, you bring up the point of "hypocrisy?"

Baited reply or not, you still proved a point of another issue as to why the asshat in the story sees nothing wrong with his perv ass behavior. And lol @ "you didn't ask where I stood."

Apparently you weren't interested in sharing it to begin with and as usual, just shit stirring to get a response to further your silly bitch point.

As I mentioned previously, it's not right on either side. That's an obvious given. Something you clearly can't wrap your head around without making it about yourself.

Chicks harass dudes too. I bet that girl that got her pictures taken was flattered on some level. Like, when she got out of the shower that night she took a profile view of her butt and thought "girl you do got it going on." I may be wrong tho.
Really wrong. You are a part of the problem and why this guy thinks it's okay.

If someone accused my boyfriend, I'd have made Him show me the phone right there on the spot. That's a crazy ass thing for a couple to accuse a random man of. No defending him immediately, no waiting til we got to the car. I'd have snatched that phone right then and there and proceeded with appropriate actions following.... either leaving his ass right there in the store and consoling the woman, or telling the woman she was a lunatic who needed help because of paranoid or false allegations.

I don't think you have malicious intent in this post. But this thought process that has been breed into your head, and most American males (assuming you are American) is exactly what perpetuates rape and sexual assault culture.

He probably has a porno site where he uploads the vids and photos of them. He seems like a voyager..or as a woman would say "a perv".

I was always wondering how those cameramen follow the woman without them knowing unless of course they were cool with it.

Now I'm wondering how many women would actually be cool with it..
not knowing it's being done is the creepy part. not the act itself. the intent.
