I do understand needing time to cool off and decompress, but when she's mad, she needs time away to cool off while listening to music, and when I'm mad, I really need her attention to hear me out and then we would get into power struggles where she would want to put the discussion on hold until she calms down, and I feel like she's trying to escape it which frustrates me even more. But we both learned to compromise a bit. She puts effort to listen to me and hear me out when I'm upset, and I try to force myself to be quiet until she blows off steam and calms down and then we talk it out calmly.

Although most of our fights start with both of us angry, then it turns into one of us crying and the other one almost crying (or both of us crying), and it ends with long, intense hugs, million apologies and both of us trying to take all the blame.

Thanks for the support. 🙂 A few months ago we started going through the argument phase, started arguing every single day, and it started suffocating her and she broke up with me saying that she still loves me but that she thinks this is better for the both of us. She knew that if we break up I would have to cut contact because it's too painful for me to keep talking to someone who just broke up with me while i'm still so much in love with them. I started blocking her everywhere, ready to say goodbye, my heart felt like it's about to break, and then 1 hour later she called me, crying, apologizing and begging me to take her back, saying that she just needed space to cool off. After that, things instantly changed for the better, we almost never argue anymore.

But I don't want to bother people here in the comments with my long ass life stories...

haha sounds about right. as long as you give us time and space to decompress, we will happily come back. i feel like pisces is a good person to understand needing time to recenter oneself.

I do understand needing time to cool off and decompress, but when she's mad, she needs time away to cool off while listening to music, and when I'm mad, I really need her attention to hear me out and then we would get into power struggles where she would want to put the discussion on hold until she calms down, and I feel like she's trying to escape it which frustrates me even more. But we both learned to compromise a bit. She puts effort to listen to me and hear me out when I'm upset, and I try to force myself to be quiet until she blows off steam and calms down and then we talk it out calmly.

Although most of our fights start with both of us angry, then it turns into one of us crying and the other one almost crying (or both of us crying), and it ends with long, intense hugs, million apologies and both of us trying to take all the blame.

ugh sounds familiar lol. well it seems like you both have a solid understanding of each other's needs and are open to compromise. best thing about pisces is their acceptance which is only thing they really ask for. what you guys have is rather beautiful and i think a really good testament to making the combo work, which is one to the love you share as well. you have a good head on your shoulders and a good heart so id say you both sound very lucky.
