What movie scene from your childhood haunts you to this day? Post a clip of the movie scene if you can find it.

I grew up in the 80s so I have plenty to choose from...but the one movie scene that always lives rent free in my head is from the movie "Mommy Dearest". IF you have seen this movie you know the whole movie is disturbing....and you probably know which scene I'm talking about.

My mom would watch Lifetime movies which were basically true stories of women surviving men. It’s no wonder I have trust issues 😅

I think it was called the Tracy Thurman story or something. Her husband is abusive. She calls the cops on him 20 times and they won’t help her. He ends up stabbing her and kicking her lifeless body in front of her kids, the neighbors and the police. The police didn’t intervene to help her so she ended up paralyzed from a broken neck. She sued and won millions of dollars. Anyway, in the movie he stabs her and cuts her face and kicks her in the head. I could be making it more dramatic than it was? It was crazy to see as a child, I never tried to watch it again as an adult. I think she is the reason that a law was made that an arrest has to be made in a domestic violence call. I can’t believe it was a daytime tv movie.

Omg. I haven't seen it but that does sound traumatic.

It’s definitely Poltergeist for me. The scene where the guy with the glasses was in the bathroom, peeling his face off 😳 like wtf 😂😂😂

Yes, that was a big one for me too. I could pull a lot of scenes from that movie. The TV, the clown in the bedroom, omg.

Iol I have watched Most of the popular ones in general from the 80s and 90s. From comedy to horror, even foriegn films subtitled.

I have only watched this movie once. It has stayed with me to this day. The whole damn movie stayed with me.

It's the most moving and impactful movie I have ever seen. it's beautiful. Horrors comedies romance nothing has ever topped that movie.

It's a work of art.

It's about 2 children during the end of ww2 in japan. There whole experience. The Human experience of war we all seem to forget about. You will likely feel every single emotion at some point during the film. Belongs in a museum and required viewing as a rite of passage.

Look it up and watch it🙂

I bought this movie because it reminded me so much of my mom. She used to have rages like this….and I’m not even exaggerating. Watching it is like reliving my childhood all over again. I just thought it was normal until I became an adult. This scene was definitely horrifying.
