Dating Someone with a Criminal Record

Deciding to date someone with a criminal record depends on your values and comfort level. Trust may take time to build, but many believe in second chances. Consider the nature of the charges and how they align with your boundaries before making a decision.

Would you do it? Like a felon, DUI charges, drug charges and etc?

To me it does show bad character but I believe in second chances. But it would be harder for me to gain trust for the dude.

It depends what type of record that person has but if it's a convicted felon or drug charges be careful.

obviously it depends on what it is, and how much time he did. The bottom line is that prisons don't rehabilitate criminals, so if he spent a long time in, he's much less likely to be reformed when he gets out, no matter what the crime is.

But it's all subjective, you can't (or I can't ) judge a person solely on their past, it's all a grey area, not black and white.

No.

I work with probation so I don't think that would be a good idea. Especially if all of that happened within the past few years. The number of people who re-offend, relapse, etc is high. There's a few other reasons, too, but I want my life to be stable and without drama.

I've been around bad people my whole life I'd say just be very careful who you associate yourself with cause it might bite you in the ass in the end.
