I depends on the person really. Some people have no problems with recreational use—it doesn’t affect them and their lives like it does others. Some people have addictive personalities so anything like cigarettes, drugs, etc. are hard to quit—and for just the right personality, the drugs become everything and destroys their life. But it all comes down to biology, choices, self control, and self awareness.
Your friend is using a guy for the free drugs. You used to get drunk and pay a coke addict for sex. Where does marriage enter this equation? You lost me there.

Boom Ladyneptune giving you a mirror to answer your on question.
It doesn’t work for me. I saw a guy for a short time who was smoking weed every day and I never do ..... when he was stoned, he lost his edge
I personally smoke weed almost everyday, it keeps me from killing motherfuckers. That said, I think if you need drugs and alcohol in order to have fun, there are other issues going on.
Like others have said, it depends on the person. Some people do life better high. I've never been a habitual drug addict other than anxiety meds, but you'd like me more on the meds than off. Like right now, I don't have any in my system and I'm being a little bitch right now. It's funny though because a bar of Xanax knocks most people out. It turns me into a normal, loving person.
On the other hand, I've dated some methheads. And upon trying to leave one, I was like, quit or I'm leaving, and he actually did, completely. It's been a year and a half for him.
That’s no small feat. Way to go!
I like how this thread is ignoring the fact that alcohol is a psychoactive drug just like the rest.

When he mentioned alcohol it all came together. Imo its the worst out of all of them. Besided drugs have so many uses cant even summarize or stigmatize.

It’s always funny to see people who drink heavily turn their noses up at recreational drug use. We are one and the same.

What is unclear to you
“Examples of psychoactive substances include alcohol, caffeine, nicotine, marijuana, and certain pain medicines. Many illegal drugs, such as heroin, LSD, cocaine, and amphetamines are also psychoactive substances”

Or you know, the first time you use them. It could be laced with fentanyl, or you could just use too much and OD and byeee. It’s legit horrific on everyone.
Cannabis addiction deniers are hillarious af too.
Yep just another mental addiction some people can latch on to. A crutch is a crutch. I’m not knocking legitimate medical use, but I’ve seen plenty of people mentally addicted to just being high—and to their own detriment.

How does it usually end guys?
I have a friend and she's dating a guy, she used to smoke weed before covid but she started doing it every day. I felt like I lost her as a friend because she was on it so much and talked so much crap. Now she has this guy and she keeps saying he's really nice because he always has weed for her, at his house and in his pockets.
I also have this other friend and she's living with a guy, she said her parents hate him, but he has coke, and the sex was great on coke.
I've been out with a girl on weed and it didn't end well, she also had pyschosis and was on meds. She completely switched when the doctors changed her meds. I've been out with a girl on coke too, the sex was amazing but I kept giving her money (when i was drunk), and I had to end it. I started to notice her teeth getting destroyed and she was ageing so quickly. she went from 30 to 40 in a couple of months (but she did a serious amount every day).
Has anyone else got any experience of this, what usually happens with either weed or coke? does it work if both do it? I'm guessing nobody has every got married at the end of it?
I'm not saying I want this, I'm trying to work out what will happen to my friends.
