What’s in a name?

Does a Name Influence a Person's Traits

Names can influence perceptions but do not determine personality traits. While people with the same name might share some common associations, individual differences are significant. Personal experiences and astrology play a larger role in shaping character than a name alone. It is important to consider the whole person beyond their name.

Does a name tend to represent a person? I mean, do you find people that share the same name tend to share similar traits and how do you feel about dating someone that has the same name as your most recent ex?

What are you thoughts and experiences with people that share the same name?

And would you date someone that share the same name as your ex? What are you thoughts with that? My ex doesn’t have a familiar name and anyone I’ve met that share it, I’ve shyed away from.

Yes! Where have you guys been living? It's in the book Freakonomics and there's a proven correlation.

But the explanation is more about the parents choosing the name and then upbringing the child in a certain way. Parents that choose the same name as the same.

Also, and I am not making this up, at university at did some data systems modules and tha lecturer worked for the government and said they collect data on people (e.g how much money they make, which newspaper they read, where the go on vacation, what car they buys etc..) They used to do it on location and the location you were brought up in, but about 25 years ago they changed it to be based on names. They can predict how much money you will make based on your name.

Idk I find it weirder to try and date someone who has the same name as one of my brothers then dating someone with the same name as an ex. Could never bring myself to do it.

there are names that are stereotyped with certain attributes; a name can give you a lot of information, e.g. social/economic status and background, heritage etc.
