My guyfriend after has last failed relationship started watching this stuff for the last 6-9months
He hasn't had a single positive dating experience since. But he feels incredibly "seen" by these videos as a victim to society and women.
He has finally applied my advice and scored a date with a really lovely lady. I've reminded him what conversation to avoid (don't whine about your ex wife, it's been 7 yrs dude) picked out the place for dinner (she's a successful business woman, applebees for a 45yr old wealthy woman is a damn joke) and will be helping him find an outfit (his casual style is adorable but he needs to level up for this particular occasion and location)... Thus far it's paying off and it's going well. I explained to him as a woman I understand her thought process so I'm going to give reliable advice that speaks to mature emotionally available women's desires.
I think the red pill podcasts have nugget of truth, but that tactic is always used by manipulators. These men are looking to make a profit by attack men with low self esteem who feel powerless. So the easiest tactic is manipulating with fear, anger and ego. Ultimately though, is anyone happier or fulfilled?

This issue goes back much further, and the root is with the boomer generation. Especially mothers telling the boys once they get older, they'll have all the girls. God forbid he have a decent job too. Mothers can't fathom why men are single with those two combinations.
Back then, that's all that was required. Being a hard-working man, half-way decent looking and you want commitment. Not that women didn't love their husbands, but the options were more limited, and they often weren't in the same tax bracket as men.
Now, you can connect with whom you please whenever you feel like it. Too many options and celebrity relationships have become the ideal model. How often does a popular couple break up and people flood the comments saying "there's no hope for me."
