Type #1: The "fixer upper". The Virgo wants to fix this person (often a Cancer), and take care of them. They want to feel needed and they know that this person will need them. They can have the upperhand/control in this relationship, and thus they won't lose control of their feelings, meaning they won't get too much anxiety from it.
Type #2: The long-term "check-all-the-boxes" interest. Virgos have so many requirements and are usually okay alone, but every now and then they'll meet someone who checks all the boxes their long list. This person scares them, because they feel more vulnerable than they would be in a relationship with Type #1. Their feelings start to escape their control, which is a Virgo's worst fear, and they tend to act erratically in the rare case they meet this person.

Those are generally called Type A and Type B relationships by psych and sociology types.
They apply to everyone at different times in their life IMO.

Type 2: I don’t know how to act. For all of the self improving and self aware I am of everything I do, I feel like I can finally let go and be a normal human being that makes mistakes and laughs and giggles and cries and loves.

I’ve definetely realized that I can’t shut everyone out and expect to find my Prince Charming, but it has my nerves on end giving someone else control after I’ve been hurt before.
But I also want to give my partner control bc I trust and love them.
