My life has gone in different ways and lots of changes which have helped me find my purpose or my mission in life.

First I wanted to be an Architect, but after having a child at 15 yrs old I decided to take full responsibility. I had already graduated high school but I moved to the US with my mom and went to HS for another year which is where I found my passion for Science. I had always been fascinated by it and I took a biotech program which made me realize that's what I wanted to do. I pursued it while working as an office manager. Later on, I had the opportunity to be the manager for a start-up business and I learned a lot which made me realize I could make more money that way.

3 yrs later I reconnected with a friend who introduced me to the bigger part of the business world and I realized that money wasn't the only thing that motivated me. What motivates me besides my 2 daughters is to one day be able to open my own Foundation to help kids in need of love, opportunities, education, health. etc.

My work is what will get me there through money and powerful connections. 🙂

My motto is: " Make an impact that matters to the world"

-A.E. (me)

My advice to those who aren't happy with what they have or where they are is: Find your purpose, something that makes you happy, something that will always keep you motivated to follow through, the universe will be in charge of putting the opportunities in front of you, you just just have to be able to see them and identify if they will help you achieve your ultimate goal.

🙂

Right now I don't feel as lost as I did before. I know what I want, now I just have to dedicate my life to accomplish that goal and most importantly to share the journey with my kids and be a role model to them too.

I still haven't FULLY found my purpose in life... But

I believe I barked upon a little piece of it... I think I can be a motivational individual to young people, especially females..Being that I overcame SOOOOO much in my life.. from abuse, being homeless, fatherless, etc..

And from my experience, every now and then when I speak to individuals who feel like they aren't nothing more than a piece of ass to someone... I try to motivate them...

My only problem is I would hate to speak in vain... like take the advice and really use it, once I can get over my "problem"... I think I could really reach out and help people..

Career-wise and overall purpose/fulfillment in life
When I was in high school, I was SO tired of seeing the same faces: from elementary, jr high, to high school. We had a "mall" in high school (large indoor center area we called "the Mall") and if I'd walk with a stranger, and they'd pick someone randomly, I'd tell you his/her name...that's how bored I was at seeing the same faces.

I VOWED to want to attend my community college; so I can see different "faces" and "ages". I did. When I was a jr in high school we had tours of different shops: photography, printing, VOE (Vocational Office Education), mechanics, etc. I signed up for VOE, took advanced shorthand and I typed 76 wpm. I LOVED typing memos, proofreading, grammar, etc. After I graduated from high school I attended SAC (San Antonio College) and got my Associates Degree in Business Technology (General Secretary).

I now have been working for the Government for almost 35 years earning $ 29.00 an hour (I make just as much as a welder does). 😄

🤗 cyber hugs!

Love,

Eva

Since every one is posting here here is mine

I didn't quite figure out what i want to do and that is somehow affecting me but i think that it will work out just fine

I went for an European studies and international relations degree , problem is it gives a lot of choices but none that you could build upon, politics still remains somehow interesting but i would be more interested in the money sector, although what i study offers very little in that regard , however the international relations part does

I think you could go into something in the public sector or work with the government or an organization

There are more possibilities then that but getting into somewhere like that can be quite difficult through the experience required when you have almost nothing

Volunteering was also recommended but it's really not my thing, i can't see myself doing something like that for free, unless it's something i really like

And i would rather solve the problem once and for all to the best degree instead of keep giving small helps

Yeah it's pretty hard, networking and connections help some people too. Or attending job fairs and networking events

Some jobs don't look at your degree but provide you with the training

That's what i'm counting on 🙂), there are many colleges/universities that have this degree but mine somehow sucks a bit more

As a summer experience earning project i was sitting in the sun and handing out questionnaires 🙂), nope that's not even related but it was compulsory

I'm majoring in Sociology and English. Sounds like two of the most useless looked-down upon majors at first lol. I'm still thinking of going into teaching. Or see what jobs I can get related to the public sector or with writing/advertisement

Sociology seems interesting to me because i had some classes related to that , well mostly political stuffs but it was interesting but the one who taught it was so boring that like in the first minute after he started every one got their phones out 🙂) and he has some personal vendetta against me 🙂) but he failed to fail me 🙂)

It kind of just happened so I went with it. When I was 18 I was a little punk with no direction. I would constantly skip school and only cared about smoking weed and dating girls. Then mom met a guy who was a tile layer. Eventually she talked him into taking me to be his helper and I thought it was fun. Every job was different, so it was impossible to get bored. And I worked with a Sagittarius, which made work that much more fun and interesting. I was still an irresponsible punk, but at least had something productive to wear myself out. After 7 years or so I got to the point I was able to lay tile myself, and I developed a responsibility towards work that I'm not sure I would have developed any other way.

I feel construction and tile somewhat taught me not only my job, but responsibility as well.

Well, looks like you need a little peptalk, yourself and what better way to start motivational speaking than with yourself.
