Me and my husband have only been married two months and have been with each other five months all together. I am starting to have some doubts about our relationship mainly because I feel that he is not over his past relationship with his ex-girlfriend. In the five months we've been together he has brought her up obsessively sometimes randomly out of the blue when we have a conversation. When we first got together he told me he had just got out of a relationship with her but then after we got married he revealed to me that they were actually still involved before he broke it off and cut communication with her. There have been times then and recently when he sneaks to go see her and call her when I'm not around. He has talked about the sex they had together and he has told me how she had used him, cheated on him and done him wrong. He has even used comparative thinking when it comes to me and her. My husband has compared my body to hers and the way they had sex compared to us and all the freaky things they did compared to her(while we were intimate) and when he has done this it feels like I'm second best. He has even talked to me about doing it to her on her menstrual cycle and brought up an experience of him having sex with her on a sun roof. As a result I am still feeling upset, insecure and hurt that he would start our relationship out this way. It's gotten to the point where I'll even bring her up and compare myself to her because I'm so curious now. I am so sick and tired of hearing about this woman! He promised me numerous of times he would stop bringing her up but I guess he can't help. This has took a big toll on me to the point where I almost considered getting an annulment. He tells me over and over again he has absolutely no feelings for this woman but I can't believe him something just doesn't feel right for him to be bringing her up like this especially with us being newlyweds. Yesterday morning my husband told me he had a dream and I was thinking it was about us me and my husband but then he tells me he had a dream of me, him and his ex-girlfriend having a three some. Then when I asked him why she's on his mind like this he got upset and blurted out that he misses the sex with her but then said he didn't really mean and that he just said it to make me mad. If he doesn't have feelings for her like he says he does what else could it possibly be? We lay down together and have alot of intimacy why does he feel the need to bring her up so much. I don't know how much more of this I can take. It seems like the more he's with me the more this woman seems to be coming up. I don't want to leave him over this but after going threw this for five months and him not being able to put her in the past it's starting to cause a problem. He can't seem to stop talking about her. He says me being with him is helping him get over the hurt she's caused him but I don't think so. I wonder if he'll ever get over her even with counseling. This woman seems to be involved in our relationship and I don't even know her.
I think my husband still has feelings for his ex-girlfriend. Is this cause for concern?

so you got married after knowing each other for 3 months ? is that correct ?
@tctao-Yes

remind him that she used him, cheated on him and done him wrong and you are not going to do that but that he needs to stop talking about her and going to see her because it is ruining your relationship with him
if he can't do that, you have no choice
if he can't do that, you have no choice

You always say shit about your husband. I feel sorry for him.

Run. Or talk incessantly about your favorite ex, then run.

You and him both need to acknowledge that he still has feelings for that woman, it doesn’t mean that You both can’t still be together, the more you both deny it and try to sweep it under the rug the more it will surface which is why he’s having dreams. He has a very active subconscious which is why he can’t help but bring up deep thoughts and feelings connected to his ex. Either you do therapy and approach these feelings head on or you don’t. I can imagine it’s a very upsetting dark feeling that you’re feeling but making him feel ashamed and expecting him to deny that he has any feelings for that woman is not healthy because we can’t help who we love. He made a commitment to be with you and you made a commitment to be with him and together you both need to cultivate this relationship but it takes time. I think you should have an open mind because it’s not the end of the world and if you need a clarity go see couples therapy because it will give you both a chance to really dig in and see each other and accept one another’s feelings. That’s what I think it boils down to

Posted by NevamoreShe reminds me of that chick that use to post on here, that was getting evicted from her apartment. She was getting welfare, and wouldn't work. Had this dude she met on a dating site of some sort come live with her, until she got booted. He didn't work either, and she paid for him, while getting evicted and not having any money. Posted up his facebook, and talked about how the mom was all up in their business. If I've said it once, I've said it 1000 times: some people should not be allowed to procreate. Now the list includes the OP's parents.
