Yeah, but at least the neck of the ukelele is shorter and strings closer together than the guitar.
I have small hands, so learning the bass was difficult enough (but I managed to get a bass with a thinner and slightly shorter neck when I started out).
What Ingrid Richter is playing is too big for my hands, and she has long fingers.

The guy who first taught me the bass though, he was a tall guy (about 6'2") but he had small hands. He was the one who sold me my first bass guitar (which used to be his, but he bought a 5-string bass to replace it).
