I also thought this, our biggest fear is death.. we all want to live on, we can't though.. in fact a million people came before us and suffered and fought (and died) and came together and passed on everything they were, mentally, physically, all of it, into a kid, and those kids into other kids and so on.. leading to us.. The only way we live on is through having a kid.. and passing on everything we are internally and all we've been able to culminate externally, the money, the cars, businesses, the name, the prestige, whatever, in the hopes that they continue, and so on and in that we continue.. I've also found the most destructive experience outside of say, death.. is a split with a significant other.. I don't think there's anything more powerful on earth than humanity and specifically the love between a man and a woman and continuing on past death in the form of a child.. I think every single thing we do, is based in that love and that need, to continue on.

If the love of a mother for her child ceased to exist, humanity would die out because our survival rates would drop dramatically.

I think from the perspective of a heterosexual man - his love for a woman is the most powerful.

But I think a woman experiences the world differently, and I have no doubt that if I am blessed to have a child, I would love her/him more than my husband and more than myself.

Maybe I'm wrong though.. it was just a random thought I had..

Does it die with us.. if we don't pass it on.. I think hate can be as powerful... like 1000 nuclear warheads destroying everything.. I don't see anything else as powerful though..

You're forgetting the other types of impact one can have on the world besides adding to the population. For example, if you chose to adopt, the change you made for the one human life - that would change that person's world. And by doing good in your life for another human being, you would be honoring those who contributed to your own existence.

I think all of our material gains are just to promote the fact that we can enable the continuing on of us, and our partner.. meaning we can make sure our kids are ok, and their kids.. and so on.. the gains were never about us.. except in our need to not die out..

I can say, that isn't really a deep thing in my mind except for the need to honor her in making sure she continues on through me and mine as I was an only child and she was highly intelligent and worthy of that continuance

I can speak on the statements I made.

So hate.. we have hate as an equally powerful urge.. how about vengeance.. Seems all the leaders of insane wars throughout time were reacting to a certain emotion.. vengeance.. it created some destruction, a ton of regional organization around the world and conquering but nothing on the scale of love, maybe banking and trade has been powerful even.. I get this sentiment, I just had a convo with a woman about it.. I feel like it's not a conspiracy it's just that tech and electricity created opportunity for emotional woman to run from bad emotional situations in the past 50-100 years.. what's sad is that they hurt like that and it's only coming to light now..
