I love the simplicity of this.![]()
Looking at the water is so soothing. I have a tiny tiny bit of sea view now. It's practically non-existent but I can still see a bit of it lol.

Living in a church would kinda freak me out being raised Catholic and all. But I love the high cathedral ceiling, arched frames and open layout of these converted churches. The Gothic details add a nice touch too. Almost feels like living in a modern medieval castle.![]()

I love modern and mid century style best. But I'm also really attracted to a farmhouse/old world vibes.

French colonial...British colonial... hacienda...plantation style ... California craftsman style ...omg there are entirely too many aspects of any and all style of architecture that I deeply appreciate making it nearly impossible to settle with just one! Heck... even those whimsical looking thatched roof homes have their unique brand of charm.
That said, I do prefer my indoor space bright an airy!![]()

Posted by DonumDeimy pisces aunt and her aqua husband have a very large home like the ones you posted, and they hire NO maids. lol but her aqua husband is now retired and does all the upkeep now. lol
@lisabethur8
Itโs funny you should mention maids because that is precisely the first thing that crosses my mind when I see large, sprawling mentions! I suppose those who can afford larger homes, can also afford maids, but it goes beyond that.
Even the smallest homes require tons of upkeep and it all adds up. I much rather have impressively sized grounds surrounding the home as I love the outdoors and gardening.
That said, my preference for spacious, open concept interiors conflicts the cozy, smaller sized home idea.
And let me no get into the whole carbon foot frint...0.o

What about if you want to bring a woman home, you can't have sex in a church. Maybe the Vatican may allow it

Posted by Timonyeah i would definitely hire maids if i worked outside alot OR travel alot, OR do charity work outside, cause then i'm too tired to do any vacuuming or dishes or cooking or dusting or any of that. i change the sheets, weekly and do laundry at least 3 x a week or more. so i get why my mother in law hires maids, she enjoys outside charity work and traveling. but when she's home, she still has the maid come every week. lol and her home is an average home with three bedrooms 3 floors, but she's alone.Posted by lisabethur8Me too. A lot of the houses here are really beautiful but I don't want to live in a huge house. Cleaning would take an eternity lol. And I don't want to have maids and cleaners in my home.Posted by DonumDei

i like simple smaller homes, like the 7th one you posted.
i dont really like them too big. i would have to hire maids and cleaners if it gets too big.
I rather spend the money on traveling. ๐click to expand
