It's too early to jump to conclusions but you didn't really give him much to go on. I think you need to be a little more cute or at least ask a question for him to reply to... otherwise you might seem disinterested. When he replies, try to give the type of energy you want to get back. Tired, flat energy is contagious. He had it, and you caught it. Try to freshen it up.
the conversations I had with him was never boring so I guess part of me is afraid rejection because he didn't reply yesterday so I would end up double texting him and come across as needy ...
