I would go for it...I've been talking to one for a few months now and he's awesome. It's exciting (sometimes he lets me ride with him on duty) but also a little scary because of his occupation and what he has to deal with.

I don't do the stereotypes about people and let their actions speak for themselves. Give him a shot if he intrigues you.

Unless you're into illegal activities I don't see how your lifestyle could affect anything any differently from you talking to any other man.

Yes illegal activities is what worries me. Nothing crazy, but still enough to where it would be a concern if I HAD to tell him about it.

The crazy schedule and scariness of the job doesn't really worry me too much, but that's easy to say because I have zero feelings invested.

Oh yeah if u are using illegal activities forget about it. Why put some one in that place. I mean imagine ur dating a druggie
N have HR start looking at u. Be open or stop that activity
I agree. I should just tell him our lifestyles aren't compatible and leave it at that (although I already did try to hint at that and he continued to peruse even harder).

I don't want to get arrested on a first date, as hot as that might be.

Yeah...that's a dicey situation. If it's a little herb probably not a huge deal but I don't know.

While questioning him on the things he's seen or done while on duty...I'd test with a question asking how he thinks of people that dabble in whatever it is that you do.

If he seems to have a negative point of view towards it you have your answer...if he seems like it's not a problem then there you go.

Still a dicey situation though.

That's a good idea. It can't hurt to just go on one date and feel him out. And also, if I really liked someone and thought there was a future, there are things in my life I would have zero problems cutting out completely. It isn't even such a huge part of my life currently, I was more concerned for things on his end than mine.

I'll go on the date and see. They also have such a horrible reputation for cheating, but that could just be an unfortunate stereotype.

I'm pretty sure most cops won't turn in their love interest. Many of them likely know people who are doing drugs or pull over their family members who are drinking and driving but let it all happen.
Police work is extremely stressful, though. If you decide to go out with a cop, you should try to understand that. He may get called to work at random times or have to cancel plans for work. He may even be put on a work schedule completely opposite of your own. The police subculture also breeds jerks, but that's not to say everyone conforms to that.

Just make sure he's definitely stable and mature before you go in to it. Also, make sure he's cool with what you're doing.

Is this the one you have that composite with?
No actually. I don't know much about the cop's sign other than he is a Leo.
why do you want to date a dumb sign that won't stimulate you intellectually. you have no self respect. I tried my best to save you from wasting your time.

You are nuts.

I haven't even hung out with him. A sun sign alone doesn't determine whether or not someone will stimulate me intellectually! Please calm down over there.

Thank you, I will try and get a good feel for him the first time around and then decide. He may not even like me too, who knows!

His schedule isn't as bad as some of the ones I've heard.

Never dated a cop, However...I am no stranger to how cops are behind closed doors. My mother was a cop. My father still is a cop. My brother just became a cop not too long ago. I KNOW cops! lol....With that being said, many cops are unfaithful and alcoholics. Also many of them have a "my way or the highway" sometimes even militant personality. I won't say how or why I know this because I'm not divulging that kind of personal info on here, but more often than not, thats what you will get when dating a cop. I would not recommend it.
My girlfriend said the same thing, that many of them are unfaithful and like to party on their off time.

They're in a group hypnotic trip, they dont have their own thoughts.
they operate at the lowest chakra level, along with soldiers
That means they like to rape people, right? The anus chakra.
i dont know about cops which means probably.

soldiers, yeah. soldiers like to rape. that's all that war is, is murder, rape, and theft. it's basically tautological

The footage of iraq and syria never shows anything that would suggest it.

did you bother to look?

http://serveice.blogspot.com/2011/08/rape-of-iraqi-women-by-us-soldiers.html

there's some photographic evidence for you if you're naive enough to think that war suddenly became civilized after... um, however many millenia of war being the antithesis of civility.

war is murder, rape and theft.

hell, we rape enemy combatants outside the context of war, i.e. gitmo

So I decided I needed to just tell the cop we aren't compatible and flake on our date for tomorrow, and I tried to this morning. He is also SUPER inconsistent. He will be texting and trying to get to know me and then disappears and then expects me to still be interested, so when I tried to bid him adew, he called me and somehow convinced (manipulated perhaps) me to give him a chance. So I'm still going tomorrow and I'll let you know how it goes once I'm finished rolling my eyes.

what about all the war fronts in the WW II?

what do you think about the civil war?

It's a shit job with shity pay. I say shit job ...........there is NO way to describe the frustrations those men must go through. I know we all admire them ec. But really? I would want an easier life. I would say it's impossible to really get their job.

Yeah ...not what i would pick for a partner. But it's up to you.

Oh, no he makes like over $ 200k a year. It's not shit pay where he works at ALL.

Ok so the date.

We met at sushi and he did everything right (at first), told me I looked pretty, opened the door, pulled out my chair, paid, etc. The conversation was really good...there wasn't like overt chemistry, but definitely attraction. We were at the restaurant for a couple hours and then I was gesturing to be ready to go when he asked if I wanted to go play some pool and I said sure, but then he continued to tell me "at his house..." so which I declined and that's when he wasn't such a gentleman anymore.

I was perfectly polite about declining, but I mean hello, obviously I'm not going back to your place. And before this happened he was trying to have me meet him at his house and he would drive us to the place, which I also declined and told him I would meet him there.

So anyway we got to say goodbye outside and we hug, and he kissed me which was sort of surprising but still a good kiss. And then he gets in his car, doesn't wait for me to get into mine, and leaves. Didn't check to make sure I got home safe, nothing.

I can't help but laugh. But hey, I'm glad i went.
