Depends on the room and space. Workspace/creativity room: hoarder. I can always put this "thingamabob" I may normally throw away to use if I am creative enough. And I am creative enough. Just give me a day, or year and I will know exactly how to use it. I would say every nook and cranny in that room is filled with something, except where I sit to create. It's like a bubble of "neatness".
Everywhere else in my home: comfortable. I am not a minimalist because similar to you I like cozy spaces, however I definitely do not have every corner, space filled with something. That feels too cluttered and busy. Every other room in my home is well thought out, orderly and evenly spaced (in some case with a measuring tape to be sure) 😉. My ability to compartmentalize seems to take on various forms in my life.
Not so Chatty Moon, in the Mothering House

Which one are you in your home?
I have just finished a book about a woman who was such a hoarder, every room in her home was covered in things, even the corridors and bathrooms. She collected newspapers which reached the ceiling. The character was a Cancer sun ....
Can you state your Moon and the house it’s in
I’ve Taurus Moon in 2nd and would find it hard to live in a sparse, minimalist environment as i like cosiness but am also aware of not keeping too many things around me. Ive just begun to donate books as already have five book cases full.

Is there a such thing as an organized hoarder? Because that’s me. I collect a lot of things I find hard to let go of, but everything has its place. I do donate clothes and stuff once a year though or else I’d definitely run out of space to put everything. I guess I’m too sentimental with things....even things I don’t use. I mean they are just things. Yet I can’t seem to part with them. I swear one of these days I’m just gonna throw everything out and start fresh!

I was raised by a hoarder (Taurus with Leo moon in 10th house) and feel a lot of unease when visiting “home”. I didn’t realise she was one when growing up, because she didn’t have too many things back then. They have accumulated over the years though, and nothing been thrown away. I’m visiting next month, and need to prepare myself mentally, lol. Went for a long walk today, after I’ve got an email from my parents, and found myself decluttering their home in my imagination. Unlikely to happen in reality.
I have a tendency to shop online for clothes when I feel anxious or stressed, and also like to surround myself with beautiful things like original paintings (Venus in 2nd house). I am definitely not a hoarder, though. I feel that having too many things is a burden, and merely the thought that I might end up like my mother scares the hell out me. Besides, as a triple mutable, I’m a gipsy at heart, ready to pack my belongings and go. Only one bag allowed. An aspiring minimalist. I could never live with a hoarder.

I have a very hard time getting rid of old things.
I'm not attached to material things, but they're part of my memories. And i'm worried of what would happened to them if i throw it away.
The only way i'm happily to let go of my old things is through Charity. But i'm aware most of them are not worth of having a second home, and thats why my Attic is full of craps that nobody wants.

The question is how many of those books have you read and how much will you re-read? I've got a rule were I need to get rid of one book before I buy another one.click to expand

That’s great advice ... I’ll try to do that, thanks.
Believe it or not, I’ve read most of them and re-read a few too. To me there’s something about a home with lots of books, but then again......
Do you have many books?
I've not counted, but I think I have well over 50.click to expand

I'm not an ultra minimalist. But I do enjoy an uncluttered look. Empty space is valuable to the eye. Although I do slightly hoard plants. Hey we can't all be perfect lol
