Personally, I like all lengths of hair! 🙂

We're human more than hair.

...anyway... You guys say :p ..umm.. I mean girls..ladies.

Do you have short hair like a boy cut? Or..if you have long hair, would you cut your hair very short?

Personally, although I can say golden words like "we are human more than hair" I would never cut my hair even to my shoulders! 😱 ..

I just chopped most of my hair , I had too though..
Because if your job, FDTW?? 🙂
No because it was too damaged I am afraid. I had a mid life crisis woman I wanted to go Britney Spears on yall.

I have natural curly hair and I usually wear it up at work.

There's this shampoo - for horses that seems to do miracle for some people:

https://www.amazon.com/Mane-Tail-Shampoo-Conditioner-32-Ounce/dp/B0046KG8DS?ie=UTF8&ref_=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top

And no, this is not a joke. 🙂 As the story goes, some horse owners - were really surprise to see how well it worked on the mane of their horse - and decided to try it on their own hair as well. And it turn-up to be an inspired decision - cause it had the same effect (faster hair growth, more volume and healthier looking). One of them was probbaly a Gemini, cause it shared this discovery with others - and from there on - more and more people try it and praised it for its efficiency. If you check YouTube by typing "Mane 'N Tail" in the search bar - you'll find tons of reviews where it's praised for same thing.

There's even "after months/years of using this product" type of reviews. So, it's not like in a commercials - where they probably selected a model whom happen to have great hair - even prior to trying their product (+the CGI effects added).

Though, it doesn't seem to have the same results on everybody. Different individuals, different hair types - so i suppose there's some who have an incompatible hair type (of something like that). There's no research - to see why it doesn't work that minority - but it seems to work for many people. So, hey - you could try it and hopefully you're one of the lucky ones. You're a Taurus too - and bulls are not that far from Horses. ^^

I also did the Brazilian blow out didn't last more than a year. But it helped straighten my hair out, it's expensive and it damaged my hair too.
The price seems fair on this product (quite affordable), and if it works as praised - it should be a bargain. You'd get more than what you pay for - compared to some commercial product - that's quite expensive and yet - doesn't work for everybody either (usually praised by some hairstylist).

Thanks for the warning and thoughts to help me out in my mid life crises.

I would buy it if it was tested on animals and worked well for 90 percent of testers. I read reviews and ratings I will not except nothing more than 3 stars...

You're welcome. ^^

Last year - around the same time, a friend of mine - was going through a somehow similar crisis. Though, for different reasons - cause she was about to turn 40 - and i guess she had binger expectations of herself - for the time she'll reach that age. And those thoughts - stressed her out. After all - it's all about our state of mind - and how we feel about a certain change - or some expectations we had from ourselves - while younger. Coincidentally (or more like a synchronicity), exactly at that time - I bumped into this video:

You could check it out - might prove to be helpful. Especially since you're younger, so - you can get a perspective from someone who learn to appreciate her evolution - and all the changes that come with that - while approaching the age of 49. Her confession, her outlook on life - inspired from her evolution - might be able inspire others who are going through something similar - even at younger ages or much younger... ^^

Some people spend thousands of $ on hair implants - because it helps them feel better about themselves. So, i guess - if you could afford a treatment that can improve the health of your hair - that might be worth it as well (that's for you to judge ofc). To bad that it didn't last that long. :S Though, you never know... sometimes a cheap product can have better results. Even a home remedy. I know some people who use - a hair mask from an egg yolk and castor oil - and they praise it as being more efficient - than some commercial products they tried before. Might sound silly - but if it works - who cares. ^^

So, good luck in finding the right product - for your type of hair. ^^

I can vouch for the Mane & Tail stuff. My Tall One cut hers super short and, when she got ready to grow it out, it was taking forever. She was freakin out cause it usually grows really fast and is super thick. She tried all kindsa stuff, even prenatal vitamins. The Mane & Tail's what finally made a difference.

I've had short hair more than long hair. It's ungodly thick so it gets SO hot and heavy. Eventually there comes a summer where I get so tired of ponytail headaches that it just has to go. Currently sporting a Mohawk. It's just hair. It grows back.
Mohawks seem to trendy this days. ^^

Back in the old days, you'd see them only on punks:

Tiziani, how long is your hair??

Is L'Oreal still showing its magic? :p

The price of the shampoo is alot cheaper the Brazilian blow out cost 140. Lol. It didn't work like I mentioned. I mean barely 6 months for that. I wasn't happy.
Brazilian blowout is really only supposed to last 3-4 months. Sometimes people can stretch it out further, there are some better straightening treatments out there though. We use one at my salon and it works amazing and the hair is so healthy after, but all our products are plant derived so maybe that's why it keeps the integrity of the hair.

Not what I heard supposed to be permanent. Oh well it damaged my hair alittle bit and now I need Mane and Tail . Thanks for the tip too.

And I was a punk kid who was always attracted to androgyny. My wardrobe runs the gamut from sexy secretary to 12yo boy.
From a punk kid to a sexy secretary outfit... People change so much. ^^
You're right tho. Outside of the classics, everything's cyclical. It's gotta get oversaturated and played out so it can die off, lay low and then become popular again.

Yeah, i noticed... the cyclical part. We all do - one way or the other (the hard way - that is). If only one could tell - where one cycle begins and where the others ends. Though, a facet only dies out - if it's at a loss of purpose (if it's not useful to you anymore). If you let it die out - if you let it go (sometimes you're forced to do so - by certain events from your life - where change seems the only way to go, while other times it's a matter of choice - if it starts to feel like a drag... like a song you used to like - but now it plays only the background - a song that's stuck on repeat). Oversaturated... as you put it. Then there's those facets that become another layer - and you don't even know why - but they seem relevant for some reason. So you keep them around - like a favorite piece of clothing, one that seems to be out of fashion (not in tune with your current tastes) - but who knows, maybe one day... you'll wear it with pride again. Does ring a bell... maybe even a funeral bell - for the ones that are no longer with us. And yet... they used to be a part of us. Hahaha!

btw, did you turn 36 this year or last year? I'm asking this - because the age of 36 it's suppose to be a lucky number in astrology. The 3rd pinnacle of growth... the 3'rd Jupiter return - when big changes are suppose to take place. The first - took place at the age of 12, the second at 24 and now it's your 3rd... It's when Jupiter returns to same place where it was at birth. Which is every 12 years or so...

So, how was it... or how it? Can you feel that big change? 🙂 Well, if you can feel - it might be to soon to grasp its full meaning. That's something you can understand more clearly - only while looking back. Those f'ing cycles... ^^

PS.Sorry for OT Rumi! 🙠From a weird angle... this might have something to do with females and short hair. 🙂

FALSE. I've had a pixie for the last two year and just this spring I took the clippers to it and told my boyfriend to give me a buzz cut.
Im still womanly. Sometimes I do feel the urge to put on lipstick if I'm wearing baggy clothes, or a pair of heels if I'm wearing a menswear styled outfit, just to feel a bit more feminine. But all my mannerisms and posture are as womanly as they were when i had longer hair.

I've been told my short hair and my buzz cut show confidence and strength; because I don't need to rely on long flowing locks to feel pretty. To me, confident and strong is the most beautiful type of woman.

Personal style has a lot to do with the question so I don't think we've *completely* derailed Rumi's thread. I'll desist if she disagrees, of course. 🙂

The mohawk was very much part of the punk movement, but that movement changed when it became commercial. Now you can buy jeans already ripped or with safety pins or whatever. Avril Lavigne ruined women wearing men's ties. Britney ruined sock gauntlets and shaving your head. Ruby Rose with the whole tattooed fem-dyke look. Once a celebrity makes something uber trendy and commercial, the people they took it from start to rebel against it.

Turned 36 in Jan. I laughed when I read what you wrote. The end of last year was a super low point in my life. I decided some time around my bday that this was going to be my year, whether it likes it or not! Jupiter ftw? 😄
😄! But... Rumi has Scorpio Moon. She might look harmless from the outside - but she's really dangerous when she gets mad. I mean, when that happens - the ones in question disappear and nobody seems to know what happened to them - nor do we hear from them again. ° JK! She's a sweet kid (or maybe i'm just saying that - cause i'm afraid)! ^^

Maybe those pop celebrities had something to do with that, and same goes for others - but i blame it on the fashion industry. And i do mean industry - cause everything that became popular - took the road of mass production. Even hair cuts. It used to take some guts - to be rebel... to cut your hair in a certain way. That style used to be against school policies, against the image of - a so called normal citizen (one who'd do everything by the rules - following every dress code and such...) - as defined by the society of those times. And that was the idea. While now... for most part - it's just a fashion choice. Many mimic that style - but there's no substance... there's no rebel spirit - on the inside. Shallow times - we live in. Oh well... if you can't beat them - let's join them. Right? I mean, some of the old school punks - like to dress like lawyers and secretaries - this days. 😄 Yeah, i know... a rebel spirit (once upon a time) - in a fashionable outfit - has a certain sex appeal. The Devil - does wears Prada (like a wolf in sheep clothing). ^^

I see. 🙂 Good for you then. Best of luck and Happy new year! Or more like... THAT'S THE SPIRIT! 😄 After all... it's up to us for most part. We make our own luck. ^^

i remember mane n tail being a bit strong/ harsh.

https://www.amazon.com/Andalou-Naturals-Defying-Shampoo-Argan/dp/B006RHI142
You used it?
yup i think i was still in high school when that came out. i lived near the race track and there were hawkers in the street for it. i wasn't trying to grow my hair though. it wasn't allowed or wasn't trendy at the time.
Long hair? No olympic boxing team for you!
lol high schools had a no touching the eyebrows and back of the collar rule here. my bro has to get a 3x4 in his which kind of makes everyone look slow and forrest gumpish.
When I hear things like this I suppose I'm reminded I'm glad I went to a French school. Uniforms are illegal there, and anything that shows religious allegiance too. Ironically having the freedom to dress however we wanted only exposed just how much we all followed the same trends. The level of Eastpaks/Jansport bags in high school... everywhere. Literally, everyone.

Jansport are the bomb. I have a black and white one. 😄 I was grateful my school had uniforms because then I didn't have to figure out what to wear every day. Only thing is, we had to wear these pleated, navy blue skirts, and I didn't like that look. >😢

I... didn't know. 😱

This reminds me of those movie scenes - where one of the character goes: Psst! Chose your words wisely - cause my friend over there is a member of the Yakuza... People disappear when things don't go his way.

...while the other looks at him with a creepy smirk on his face and says something like: I know. I'm from Yakuza as well. ˆ

I have the Ruby Rose kind of vibe going on. I cut it a year ago and I love it. It fits me... I still definitely look like a woman lol

It was pure spur of the moment. I always had long hair. But I growing up I was always in fear of things. And I hid behind my hair. So one day I said to myself "I've always wanted short hair. So why am I stopping myself. STOP BEING A PUSSY. NO FEAR!" and 5 days later I did it.

It wasn't just for my hair. But that was the first step to a lot of changes in my life and it was one of the best decisions I made.
But I'm missing my hair now and will probably start growing it back at the end of summer maybe. We'll see 🙂

Oh it's 05:08 over here and searching for good to great reviews on mulitple shampoos and conditioners for my damaged hair.
Amazon can be quite unproductive - if you're interested in some product and you check the reviews. There were times when i spent weeks in there - trying to decide on a product, cause i kept changing my mind - while reading the negative reviews (some of them can be so discouraging). :S What's worst... there's times when i buy something with lots of positive reviews, thus - i have a big expectations from that product and... it doesn't turned-up to be as expected. The refund law - proved to be quite useful - for such cases (doesn't go so smoothly all the time but still... it's not a complete waste of money - as it would go if you'd be forced to keep an unsatisfactory product) . Unfortunately - they can't take back your feelings of disappointment. ^^

You'll just have to keep trying till you find one. Though, keep in mind - the trial is more important than the search, cause that's the only way you can see if it actually works (in practice). ^^

@cheekyfaerie The funny thing is (while taking this topic in consideration), i used to know a blonde female Cap with Scorpio moon - who shaved her head on a whim - after watching the movie "Rebel Without a Cause (with James Dean)". She even recorded herself shortly after, acting really pissed and proud of her deed - while sharing her disapproval with the ways of society and such... ^^

Though, the next morning and from there on (till her hair grew back) - she was filled with regrets.... and grew really fond of head scarfs - during that period of... recovery. ^^

So, maybe would be a good idea - to keep away from that movie (in case you haven't seen it). Who knows - what influence it might have on other Caps with Scorpio moon and what rebellious attitude - could inspire in them. 😄

I'm not, but i feel compelled to play that roles sometimes. Like the times - when my parents behave like children (and not in a fun way). 🙂The wheels have turn. ^^ I guess the story of Benjamin Button - was inspired from reality... some people turn back into children - as they grow older (or maybe - they never grow-up to begin with).

OMG! I was infected by adulthood couple of times (maybe more than couple). Was awful! 😱 Come to think of it... my hair started degrading as well - during those times, but i didn't notice right away - cause was to stressed out... and what was happening to my hair or my mental health - was the least of my worries. Didn't seem that important - compared to all the other adult priorities (it's deemed childish - to give importance to stuff like hair appearance - when you have adult things to do). That's... acceptable collateral damage. ^^ And latter on... the gray hairs started appearing - which i did notice - cause for some weird reason (maybe because i'm a Gemini) - only the left side started goring gray - and looked kinda weird. 😕 I've heard of split personality before - but that was ridiculous. WTF! 😱

I enjoy hanging out with some friends (a small group) - once in awhile, but i don't like to do that - to often - cause it starts to feel like a drag (or maybe draining - is a more appropriate word). I need some time alone - to recharge my batteries. Even i was to see a new movie - i prefer to go alone, cause it proved to be more enjoyable that way (while being less conscious of a friend's presence - and more focused on the movie). What can i say - I'm also fond of solitude. ^^

Ha. I really hope I was never that impressionable. Great movie though. Easy to forget he did so few of them. He was a natural.

Her Sun is conjunct Neptune (at a tight orb) and her Mars is in Pisces. And with this placements - there's moments - when this individuals can be a bit unconscious (kinda like being drunk - thus, what you're doing might seem fine - during that time). So, it's not necessarily a bold move. Everybody's more courage - when drunk (by Neptune or otherwise). ^^

You know... i guess it kinda sux being a women - and feeling so affected by a shave. I mean, a shave might disadvantage even a man in terms of looks - but he might still go for it - for practical reasons. And i'm saying this from personal experience - cause i adopted this new look last year (where i shave my head once a week), and i guess i got used to it - cause now i find it hard to go back to my previous lifestyle. There's simply more benefits (as far as i'm concern):

- very easy to maintain
- the hair looks decent all the time (0 bad hair days) 😄
- i gain some extra hours a month - which i used to waste on handling my hair
- the summer heat is more bearable this way ^^
