I think this belongs in this forum cause I just needed to get this off my chest somewhere random lol

I totally understand that a lot of guys find wearing makeup makes them feel emasculated or that society will just immediately label them homosexual and such.

But I would totally like to ask my future partner if he's down with wearing a full face or even just guyliner/eyeliner/subtle eyeshadow, or let me do that for him if he doesn't know how. And if he's only comfortable with wearing it inside the home and not in public, then that's totally okay.

But man, I can't help it, I seriously just find non gay guys who wear makeup to be hot especially when the eyes and lips have been done I mean 🥵🤧 (I also always platonically and lovingly admire gay guys who can slay a full face of makeup too, makes me want to grab makeup tips from them lol)

I probably am not the only person in the world who has this attraction, but I'm definitely not the majority. So I'd appreciate it if we could keep it civil and respectful up in here, I just wanted to share my new discovery about myself somewhere 😅

Cheers 🙂

Edit: oh yeah, I'm a female, just in case anyone didn't already know.

same tbh but not exactly preferred

what is your venus and mars?

Aw they're cute. I think I just like the look. I'm not attracted if there's a feminine personality along with the makeup look in a guy. I mean if he's gay then yeah I'm obviously not romantically or sexually attracted, but I really admire when gay guys do makeup really well.

But when for example, a straight or bisexual guy has a full face or just eyeliner/guyliner but still has a masculine/manly personality and clothes/fashion style , then I'm like dayummm hello Sir lol

My Venus is Libra and Mars is Leo. Probably makes sense for Libra. I like my shit pretty 😆💅🏻 what's yours?

almost cusper tho but can/lib. my 5th house is pretty prominent too. we're pretty same-ish energies. i've been thinking about this lately and i think it's the combo of feminine + flamboyant placements in the chart. tho i feel like this is just a very shallow thing on my part and translates differently in the practical sense.

Slightly before my time, but a lot of women found Boy George attractive when he was in culture club. Which pretty much fits with what has been said.

I think his makeup looks super cool, love the eyeshadow. But I can feel he is gay therefore my attraction goes to 0, but I still admire when a gay guy can pull off a full face of makeup, especially if they did it by themselves.

(and yes I did check online before I said this, but he is actually gay.)

I don't even find women with a full face of makeup attractive, let alone men...

I think that's totally valid. This is just my own tastes, which are just as valid. When I say full face, it doesn't have to be crazy heavy or flashy. Like they could just wear foundation, highlight or no highlight, powder, simple eyeliner/guyliner or simple one colour eyeshadow and lip tint or no lip tint. And I'd be totally into it. Especially the eyeliner, I think eyeliner or eyeshadow gets me the most.

😆 I'm not even surprised by people who are opposed to this. I already said it in my original posted comment, but I know I'm definitely not the majority opinion (as always). And I am fine with that, we all have different tastes and opinions after all. However I'm certainly not gonna change my tastes, repress them or shame myself for feeling attracted by it. I've always been someone who's never really been the majority opinion, always been the one who stands out, the odd one out, the black sheep of the crowd, the "weirdo" because I think differently or am interested in unconventional things. More interesting to live a life that's weird and myself than "normal" and basic and putting what other people agree with above my own anyway. Normality is subjective to an individual's opinion anyway. What looks normal to you, isn't to someone else.

We like what we like, we don't like what we don't like. And I don't shame anyone who's opposed by it. But my tastes are my tastes and I'm gonna freaking own my truth 🤘🏻

It would be worth looking at where your Eros and Psyche are. This covers erotica attraction etc.

I get where you are coming from. I find some guys interesting from an erotic point of view.

I find Tim Curry in Rocky Horror strangely interesting. Antonio Banderas in Interview With A Vampire. Brian Molko from Placebo. Adam Lambert from American Idol. Johnny Depp in errr most of his films. Also the androgynous look such as Pink, Ruby Rose etc.

I've Mars in a leo too but both Eros and Psyche are in Aquarius which may account for taste!

I also like pirate get ups with black eyeshadow like Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow here 😆 so any macho masculine guy who cosplays as Jack Sparrow and adds black eyeshadow/thick eyeliner. It's over for me 🤣

Gosh damn you have a good taste haha Antonio Banderas as the vampire is the winner for me, phew. I blushed hard lol I'm also into vampire and (not too hairy 😆) werewolf cosplays, eye contacts and makeup. Brian Molko, I like his makeup, the eyeliner really sells it, super hot. For me, Johnny Depp as the classic Jack Sparrow, the black eyeshadow. That does it. I love genuine pirate cosplays. And I love androgynous females too! Don't get me started on Ruby Rose. Orange is The New Black was when I discovered and fell in love with her. She's too hot for this world. I also love Amber Liu from the kpop group, f(x), her fashion style and characteristics are very androgynous. And she's just hot, funny and very likeable as a person.

You're definitely right about Eros and Psyche. My Eros is Capricorn and my Psyche is Gemini. I guess Gemini would be the one who like Aquarius, absolutely loves unconventional, bizarre, thought provoking and out of this world things. I love variety and liking a bit of everything because of my Gemini placements too.

I’ve had a crush on a Scorpio sun Gemini moon and he wore makeup and nail polish for his band gigs—and looked super sexy, very Bowie-like. ❤️ He had a very dreamy, yet manly way about him.

Wow he does sound like a hot dream 😳

Yeah, good mention on the nail polish. I used to try repress the fact I love black nail polish on guys, but I can't repress it anymore cause I just fall for it every time 😆😅

Examples?

Like the cure guy?

Go to 5:24:20. He's a YouTuber I'm subscribed to called Ethan, and he looks so attractive with this makeup on there done by his girlfriend.

Ah I think you like him submissive to getting make up done by his gf. No worries my fantasy is pegging a guy.

Not necessarily the fact that he's submissive. It's more that he's still masculine in his aura and looks, but is still confident and doing his thing whilst wearing a full face of makeup. I would love a masculine guy who's still okay with letting me do his makeup. I do like guys who are switches like myself but to be a bit more on the dominant side, whilst I am a bit more on the submissive bratty side.

And exactly like you said, it's true. There's a charm to a masculine guy who is still confident and being himself whilst wearing makeup. I am obsessed. I admire it so much.

The funny thing is in centuries past it was quite common for men to wear makeup

"For millennia, stretching from 4000 BCE through the 18th century, men traditionally used makeup in myriad ways. It wasn't until the mid-1800s that makeup was relegated to one end of the gender spectrum"

Also, if you think about famous seducers like Casanova they usually had a feminine quality to them. Women do seem to be highly attracted to men who are comfortable with their femininity whilst maintaining a masculine presence - which makes sense since that is more "whole" as we all do have both masculine and feminine energies within

So, with makeup usually being viewed as feminine in our current time by openly wearing makeup a man might be displaying his comfort and openness with his feminine side, which can send signals to make him seem more attractive (as long as he still radiates a masculine aura)

End of theory

Damn yeah, you nailed my attraction right on the head lol

Exactly, we all have Divine Feminine and Masculine energies. And yeah, I love a guy who can be comfortable and openly express his feminine side whilst also maintaining his masculinity. Totally right.

I had no idea guys used to wear makeup, I'll have to search that up. Cause I know about guys wearing heels back in the day, especially Napoleon. Was it started by him? I don't remember. Either way, quite funny and ironic that things that were male associated things somehow got transferred into feminine associated things over time lol so ironic. I'll have to bust these facts out whenever a guy decides to laugh about them 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yeah, I think the air sign has that influence. I think, for me, there's a difference in being interested or fascinated or finding something erotic - along those lines - but in all honesty, I'm not entirely convinced I'd particularly like to actually fuck any of those I've quoted. Then again, when I think on it, it definitely holds a curious air sign cerebral interest rather than any emotional or sexual interested.

I mentioned once that some men are better make up artist than women. I think make up this days is something more than just daily routine. It's a form of art.

Also I tried to convince Cappy to make him make up to practice, because he has great eyes shape Lol not a chance 😂😂

Totally an art form. I admire when people can create literal art and illusions on their faces with just makeup alone. It's a serious practice and talent to do such a feat. Check out all of the crazy, cute and scary Halloween looks that people can do!

That's so funny, at least you tried 😆 it's why I'm praying for a life partner who is open to trying out makeup or nail polish in the home at least lol

The way my double eyelids sit makes it look like eye liner to some people. I have long eyelashes not just for a guy, but longer than most women. Also, lips are red. When I was a baby, my mother says little old ladies used to ask her why she put lipstick on her baby 🤣.

Wow you're naturally blessed with natural "makeup" haha

I remember there was a Greek guy in my class who had the most longest and fluttery eyelashes than most females too, and he had doe eyes. It was a dream looking into his eyes lol so I hope you're grateful for what you have haha

What about Russell Brand? He wore eyeliner a lot

It's cool, but I still have a type look wise 😆

Here's one of my celebrity crushes, he slays eye makeup and full face makeup just so well.

I also always thought Prince's eye makeup looked very cool as well, I liked it and just his confidence in expressing through androgynous makeup, hair and fashion.

I personally wouldn't do this. Mostly because I hate standing out, or having any type of real attention drawn towards me whatsoever. I can admit it's a pretty brave thing to do. Especially if they live that life for real because it's truly who they are, and not just simply doing it to stand out. I do post pictures of myself when someone wants to straighten and cut my hair however. If I was to cut all my facial hair off and then get makeup applied just to post how hot I looked I feel that would be a slap in the face of the men and women who truly live that life for real. In many ways I can respect it if it's someone being who they really are.

I respect that, that's just who you are 🙂 but then what do you think about people who love standing out because it is who they are?

Cause that is me. I love standing out because that is who I am. I believe I was born to stand out, because all my life any time I tried to fit into the crowd, I was pushed back out. People always like outing me as the odd one out growing up as well. And being one of the 3 Asian people in a white dominant middle/high school (secondary school) growing up, it certainly felt that way too.

Whenever I did try to fit in and use the language of people my age (Old Soul problems), I was too awkward and I didn't feel like I was being myself, I always felt like I was shrinking my light and personality to fit in. So standing out, it's just what I was born to do and is who I am.

Lenny kravitz 👀👌🏼

Yesss omg you speak my language haha

https://www.pinterest.co.uk/pin/152700243588967548/

This one looks hot of him, in my opinion. The eyeshadow, the gems, it's just so pretty yet hot. His gold eyeliner as Cinna in Hunger Games too, I loved it, I always thought it was so stylish and charming.

I feel like Lenny Kravitz, Johnny Depp, Russell Brand was mentioned, all have been known to wear makeup, and all have somehow still maintained very masculine sort of energy. It’s not masculine like Aries or Taurus or something, but still masculine. It’s a unique type of energy, and it just sort of works.

When I read the thread about men wearing makeup and being attractive, my mind immediately went to Lenny Kravitz.

Also Gemini Pete Wentz wore tons of eyeliner in early 2000s as an emo and women went nutso over him lol.

Yeah for sure, it's not macho manly but the fact some of these men can still maintain their masculine aura and balance it with the supposed feminine nature of makeup nowadays, it's beautiful. I love the uniqueness of it.

https://images.app.goo.gl/bGsouhGfZBzmbX986

I'd be into this version of Pete Wentz. Love the eyeliner. And with the hair and hoodie, it gives off a heartthrob look. I was still a child in the 2000s lol

Arent you a virgo?

I know virgos love that whole mask/costume thing and variety. I am virgo rising and liked masks a lot when i was kid. Makes sense cause its mutable(variety) and earth(aesthetics) and feminine

Its also on that axis with pisces which has to do with illusion/mystery

Yeah I am a Sun Virgo. That's interesting, cause I associate variety with Gemini. I have a lot of Gemini placements. For example, my Gemini Rising and Gemini Psyche. So I'd say Gemini is what makes me love variety and a bit of everything.

But you're right, being mutable also makes that possible. It also makes us more easier to adapt with the flow of things and go with whatever unless it's a deal breaker.

Venus ruled signs are very much the finer aesthetics of things as well. Finding the prettier things. Libra and Taurus. I have a Libra Venus and Mercury. So there's that.

And being Leo Mars is probably why I like flamboyant, flashy and glittery stuff as well. So I love masquerade masks, huge fan of those and masquerade parties in general, like the ones you see in films.

Damn I didn't even notice, they are all Gemini Suns. Thanks to my Gemini placements, dressing up is definitely one of my kinks as well. But I can't handle roleplay. Just the dressing up part is good enough for me.

I want to talk about how attractive androgynous women are, but I don't want to make my own thread.

It’s not a sexual attraction more of an admiration. It’s a weird thing that plays into the perception of what society accepts and what we normalize. So because she’s already this alternative to the standards, and has her own group she's not expected to wear making up or sexualize herself in a feminine way for men, and you can just see her bare, more how she truly is… which is often beautiful.
