That's actually what I was aiming to do. Go more to the north and far to the west. Tokyo is cool, but you know. The tricky part would definitely be getting serviced because outside of Tokyo, they can be xenophobic. Also, alot of restaurants allow smoking so heads up!

I have a feeling visiting some places in tokyo is going to be like visting some of those out dated slot machine areas in low tier casinos in Las Vegas (cigarette smoke wise).lol
and
I don't have that much time so I won't be traveling that far. Most of the time I'm going to be in tokyo. I'm spending a day in a close prefecture to stay at an onsen resort but thats about it.

I forgot exactly what my friends said, they both have the mobile, I have att. I think they cover you for roaming.... I don't remember. We just ended up renting a portable WiFi and we all used it together. We had two fortunately lol so if you get lost, get lost with the guy with wifi😂

Also the tricky part is phone data. If you go to rent one, it's roughly $ 300 down payment that you get back and I believe it was $ 150 for the service. We had it for a week only lol but how the package was, was unlimited data, but the first three days are not throttled. After that, they throttle you. Like how T mobile used to do. Apparently there's alot of free WiFi hotspots for tourists, but we didn't bother

I forgot exactly what my friends said, they both have the mobile, I have att. I think they cover you for roaming.... I don't remember. We just ended up renting a portable WiFi and we all used it together. We had two fortunately lol so if you get lost, get lost with the guy with wifi😂

Also, people seemed so interested just seeing us there. Idk if they were happy to see us or upset, but people literally look at you dead in the eye. It's a mixed feeling from what it looks like.
