I don't fully trust anyone on the internet.
But it was because of bad experiences online in the past. Like dude, my FB was found and some creepy weirdo exposed all my personal information.
I even get sketchy about going on tiny chat and my voice being recognized. It's hard to trust people on the interwebs.
You know we've both been there.
It's really sad to see how careless people are about that and all gung ho about oversharing. People have been brainwashed into doing this and we're seeing less common sense in what's shared and how easily people are given information because people seem to think that any type of sharing is okay online.
I have circles of trust.. most of you I don't trust, others that I have on fb I trust, for the most part, those I have met or spoken to on the phone have 100% trust... that's A very small amount.
I understand Cancan, being open about who you are outside of dxp, in the wrong hands could do some real damage.

I understand why you feel that way Cancan. You've said in the past you don't like feeling deceived.
I personally feel the place is fine. I don't exactly lead an interesting life so I don't know what anyone would be exposing. Plus my real life isn't on facebook. It's just a bunch of watch and travel pics, plus some actors I hired to be my friends so I could snare you into a Ponzi scheme.

Some people have thousands of friends on Facebook who can see everything so why people all of sudden get suspicious of dxp a bit strange. And correct me if I'm wrong but you look at other people's stuff facebook when you're not even friends right?
Things are more personal here though in terms of details about girlfriends/boyfriends/crushes (it's how most people find this place and register) And the anonymity here naturally makes people reveal more about their personal lives than normal. Which is fine to a certain degree as long as you accept the criticism that normally comes, which again because this site is mainly anonymous, that criticism is usually full blown and a bit harsh.

The anonymity of this place does make people reveal things faster than they should in my opinion and that causes people to be "exposed" over and over again...
I personally have trust issues... Simple as that so I am always weary of new people whether on dxp, Facebook, on real life

There is a solution in my opinion.
If you have someone on dxp who you have shared an enormous amount of personal and private things and are a little bit worried whether he or she will reveal that information to other dxp members, either in the forums or in pm's, then what you'd need to do is solidify that bond and trust in real life. Meet them in person and that make the trust impenetratablw, because they've seen you, it's real, it's physical and they know you and the other person is real as well all the stuff you have shared. Because at the end of the day, even if you trust someone on here 100 percent and you haven't met them in person, that person is still just a username and avatar.
