I have to have at last some medium level of physical attraction, but I realize it can't be the end all, be all. And if the emotional/spiritual/intellectual attraction levels are there or potentially there, they can supercede the physical.

If I'm attracted to someone by his/hers personality, I would be physically attracted also, unless they're repulsively ugly - no teeth, reeeally bad skin (drug-addict-like) etc.

Having said so, I wouldn't date anyone I'm not attracted to - why waste time?

I've dated guys who at first I wasn't attracted to and then somehow like over night they became like Brad Pitt to me out of nowhere..
