I’m curious cuz a lot of my female friends complain that guys that they met online often turn into some sort of stalkers. Ironically, they stalk the men they are interested in as well (eg going through their ig and FB, doing background checks, driving by the guy’s place when he told her he was going to be busy that day to see if there’s an unfamiliar car, etc etc to see if the guy is likely dating someone else). How do you feel about this? Do you see a difference between a male stalker and a female stalker? Do you feel annoyed or do you secretly enjoy the attention?

Depends on the type of stalking. I stalk my loverfriend Cap on FB from time to time, but I never make it obvious. And yes, I currently cannot help it. It’s a part of the healing process. As long as you don’t go postal over some changes that you are afraid of/don’t want to happen - you’re fine. That’s why accepting change is important. Also, if anybody ever tells you that they have never online stalked anybody - they can drink piss, because they’re lying.

Now, if somebody is maliciously stalking you, like dropping by your whereabouts or house in the creepiest way, follow you on the street, etc. That, my dude, is DIFFERENT. That’s scary and reportable shit.

I social media stalk the fuck out of men I'm interested in, google them, and do background checks. No shame in my game. As far as doing a drive-by and following them, I'm not about that life. checking social media constantly isn’t stalking. And saying it is kinda is an insult to anyone who has been actually stalked.

Granted it is quite sad if someone checks someone else’s social media to the point they know who is commenting and who is liking them reuuarly or who/what they like regularly. That’s more self torture for the person doing the digging. My motto is why dig. Anytime I felt the desire to go hunting for more info, my intuition was always right that something was off. Just bounce and never speak to them again, they often won’t admit the truth or give closure anyways, so don’t bother, disappear.

Now instances of actually stalking, I think a lot of people make and female get away with it. It’s very hard to prove and hold up in court. Only people I know who were able to have upheld restraining orders were abused spouses. DA’s, at least around here, don’t bother with stalking. They always plead people out.

My dad was stalked decades ago in his early 20’s. (He is in his 70’s now). But a woman he went on one date with then never called. She didn’t have his number or his address but called and showed up at his house. He was dating smeone else and told her to stop and leave but she’s still show up at his job. She finally quit when he got married to his first wife tho. It was very scary for him, said it was the first time in his life he realized he wasn’t invulnerable.

In all my years had only 2women that stalked me, one was literally 2much, all i did was smiled and said hi in the gym, helped her out to show some good exercises and she went stalking me, writing me poems and talking about the family that we will have, about our future together...Also she always seemed to be around in the gym when i went there, felt like stalking, even when i said i'm going away to live in the USA it didn't work, she said she was going with me, we weren't even dating or anything, had to tell her some brutal shit to make her lose interst and stop stalking because she was just 2 much..
