When you meet a woman for whatever reason, whether you’re interested in them or not, what characteristics within them makes you think they have what it takes to be marriage material to a man in the future?
What I can think of as future marriage material in a woman:
• Emotionally Stable
• Empathetic
• Loyal
• Patience
• Refinement
• Sincerity
What characteristics within a woman that makes you think they won’t ever get married?
My views on women that display the below characteristics are not likely to be marriage material:
• Disrespectfulness
• Emotionally unstable
• Gossipy
• Immaturity
• Manipulative
• Selfish
So what are you views on the subject matter? Share any stories you may have too if you wish.
Some people may even dislike positive traits and like negative ones.
some days she feels like being immature...some days selfish other days so unselfish you wanna cry..
other days you see her over at the neighbors gossiping,
and you shake your head,
then later you find out she made a blanket for your grandma and bakes you your favourite pie,
there are times she's gonna be making your eyes wide with her disrespect,
but overall she is respectful.
if you expect perfection, then you're going to find a woman who will fake it until she finds someone who loves her realness.
although the list on the top half sounds like a mother theresa, who never got married. and spent more time on taking care of dozens of people instead of a man and her children.
I hate to sound like a nag or a firm feminist, but men will marry any woman that has a hole. The only thing that makes a woman marriage-material vs. non-marriage material is timing (where the male is in his career). If the man has attained financial stability or is satisfied with where he is in his career, then the current woman in his life is the right woman. If not, every woman even if she's a virgin or whatever they look for won't be enough to marry.

Edit: women aren't as hard to please as men. Women want things that are realistic and attainable such as financial stability in a man, whereas men want women to become virgins (unattainable), they want them to be obedient, submissive, not more intelligent than them.

I've never met someone like that in my life.
Sure, most of my gender are stupid assholes but most of them set their standards pretty low while women do the opposite.
Every other man in my country. Goal is to marry dumb woman who cooks and cleans, so that he has a servant in his home while he goes out to drink every weekend and cheat on her with all the whores in those places who are as easy as buy me a drink and you can have me. I think every person wants different things. For me i'd like to have a woman who doesn't try to put me in a cage, the woman who would allow me to be free and be with her freely rather than telling you can't do this or that, puting me in a cage, i couldn't live with that. I want respect, trust, loyalty and emapthy, support from the 2nd half. Most women or men judge the 2nd half on what they want to do or achieve rather than support and believe in them, i think this is really important because it strengthens the bond , relationship and the goals are easier to get. I'd like to travel together, inspire each other and love each other. Marriage or relationship as i see is a process of growth in life and in love,traveling achieving goals while helping each other, having each others back and trusting each other without any boundaries, creating a family thats alive rather than caged.

Whereas men, irrespective of how many women they slept with, wanted the cleanest one to marry so she can be the mother of his kids and do all the housework while he had mistresses on the side. If it’s anything that I have learned in here is that we are all different and it has nothing to do with gender sometimes.
I personally never think if I am approaching or not, but I hate when guys approach me uninvited. In general I just give signals and wait and see. But it’s depends the situation and the person. I never think about gender in that way.

Nowadays a women can kill a men very easily as well due to technology.

Edit: women aren't as hard to please as men. Women want things that are realistic and attainable such as financial stability in a man, whereas men want women to become virgins (unattainable), they want them to be obedient, submissive, not more intelligent than them.

I have no problem with women who don't want to do that but they are neither feminists then nor do they want gender equality because they logically incosistent.
Apart from this is this stance one that is about to become unsustainable, depending on culture, nation and age group.
Funny that I leave in a country where gender equality it’s very well stabilized and in the only place in Europe that I see men always opening doors for women, carry my bags at the airport or helping women with children.
They have pass that moment in history when equality means I am not helping you because you are a woman and you want equality.... hahaha... that I see when I travel to other places in Europe.
Helping someone should always be something to do no matter if man or women, or transgender, or whatever.
If it’s anything that I have learned in here is that we are all different and it has nothing to do with gender sometimes.
I personally never think if I am approaching or not, but I hate when guys approach me uninvited. In general I just give signals and wait and see. But it’s depends the situation and the person. I never think about gender in that way.

Imagine a reversed situation in which the man is lokking at her while playing with his hair.
Would she get up, go and talk to him? I believe it's safe to assume this would rarely be the case.
The man is the one who risks everything (soical rejection, shaming etc.) while holds all cards.
You yourself stated it can easily be misinterpreted which is a huge problem in a time and society where the topic of sexual harrassment, rape and mistreatment are constantly in the news. Don't get me wrong, it is good those things come to light and are fought but it creates a lot of insecurity for those men who are unlikely to do such things and for those men it isn't as clear as women assume it is when they do their subtle moves.

as to the means, well, women don't kill men as often as men (particularly partners or male family members) kill women. 6 women were killed weekly last year in the UK by men. most women are killed in their home. men are more likely to be killed by other men and men they don't know.
so yes, technology allows for an equal playing field but this isn't reflected in crime statistics.
I completly agree on the statistics but my point that an proactive approach might net an overall increased level of security for women still stands.

i'm sincerely sorry that you had that experience growing up. it's not something anyone should go through ever. however i would still maintain, it's not the same as living life as a woman. there is not one source of this message, it's everywhere, all the time. it's to the point that sometimes you can't distinguish the message from anything else.
and certainly i'm not blaming men for this situation that women find themselves in. women are to blame as well but it's also the media, society, culture, history. its a story that we as a collective tell ourselves. it's so incredibly pervasive and yes, it's slowly changing, very much with the help of men (which, let's face it, it couldn't happen without) but it's still present and very much an everyday reality for women.
until you quickly walk down a dark road with your keys poking out through your fingers then it's just so difficult to share that with you.
i commend your efforts to improve things for both genders. it's needed and long overdue.
